Is aluminum dust ground up aluminum, or is it something else and how could i make it.

Aluminum powder is the same thing as that stuff your mom has in the kitchen except it is in a very fine powder. Making some will prove to be extremely diffcult. You can but a 600 mesh seive somewhere. Grind up some aluminum in the coffee grinder and put what is left on the seive. What goes through is good aluminum powder for flash powder but how much work and time involved is just not worth it.

cut aluminum foil into small pieces, and then throw it in a ball mill or 1 or 2 weeks.

put aluminum foil in a blender and blend it for a little while say 10-15 min then take it out and run it through a coffee grinder run it through your seive and then keep on sticking it in that coffee grinder until it becomes fine enough to pass throught the seive

Kind of like a screen, the holes are small according to the mesh size. Higher the mesh size smaller the holes.

But I have read somewhere that the mesh size that we are all talking about (500 600 900) or really negetive numbers... Hmmm...

Not a clue. I'd say use a piece of silk, but it would get clogged too easily.

Many harware stores have them for like bug nets and filtering sand and shit...and I know paint stores have like 100-200 mesh screens....

Look in a food or nutrition store. I have seen 600 mesh.
