co2 bombs
I don't think my co2 bombs are working. They just go PUFF, its a loud poof, but I don't think it is what it should be. The co2 cartrige doesn't really blow up, but more shot out the top. What is wrong?

Re: co2 bombs
What powder are you useing? Some powders may not work. Also, the fuse hole might be to big.

Try using plastic body filler (bondo) always worked for me--also only fill cartridge half full

Re: co2 bombs
Depends on the powder. When I put flash in one it was less than half full and worked great. He's probably filling it with crushed up cheese doodles or something...

Re: co2 bombs
The one I did today was half full of Black Powder from c86 rocket engines crushed up as fine as a could get it. I used a sparkler it fit perfect.

Re: co2 bombs
But it still didn't work? Most strange.
You could try drilling a fuse hole in the center of the cartridge (before you fill it) and plugging the neck of the cartridge. With the powder igniting from the center it's burn time will be effectively halved. It might be enough to do the trick.

Re: co2 bombs
I think I'll try that thanks. If it doesn't work I'll just only use cobs. It's a pain crimping the end of those tubes though.

Re: co2 bombs
a cratermaker is the same as a cob, not a pipe crimped at the ends. If you are doing the crimped ends, that is probably why it isnt working so good. You arent folding the ends enough.

Re: co2 bombs
well thats what i think of it as. i know that kratermakers, cobs, and co2 bombs are all the same, but what else would a small pipe filled with bp be called? it's to small for a pipe bomb, metel so it can't be an m-80, so what would it be then? so i just call it ether a cob or a kratermaker.

Re: co2 bombs
That would still be called a pipe bomb, i think. When me and my friend make a small pipe bomb with plastic case, we call it a PB, just in case someone overhears us talking about it, we do not want them to think we are going to blow a school up or something.

Re: co2 bombs
yeah, when the average joe hears "pipe bomb" they think terrists. only because some retard terrists do use pipe bombs as a weapon. but when they here "acitone peroxide" they think some chemical but it's acually more dangerous then a pipe bomb. and it's all the damn medias fault.

Re: co2 bombs
someone says"yeah, i made acetone peroxide this week" the average person will be like oh cool, hes makeing some finger nail polish. someone says"i made a pipe bomb today" someone will be like "holy shit we are all gonna die", pulls a fire alarm, screams and tells everyone that someone is gonna blow up the school.

Re: co2 bombs
I call my mini pipe bombs "pipe charges." My parents don't freak as much. I think thats what zero called it in the a files as well.

Re: co2 bombs
Yes, I've always used "pipe charge" to describe miniature pipe bombs, and usually crimped ones.
The original pipe charges were 3/4" diameter brass tubing that I stole en masse from the hardware store in my youth. Those things worked wonders, even filled with match heads.
