Fun with Bottle Rockets
Last week, we went camping out in my friends woods, we do this like once a month, and it is a lot of fun. We found an old furnace that someone dumped at the opposite edge of his woods, and we proceded to beat the hell out of it with various sticks, axes, and rocks, it was a lot of fun. I managed to salvage a little peice of metal tubing, and a small flat peice that we cleaned and cooked the eggs on in the morning. Anyway, one of the people who went with us brought out three gross(12) of bottle rockets, so I took the pipe and had one of my friends lite it. Then he would wait till the LAST second and drop it in. You could hear it drop into the tube, and then it would lite and it would shoot out the top, and if it didn't hit any trees then it would explode in the air. It was quite possibly the coolest thing ever, wonder if anyone else has done anything ful like that ? Right place for this ?

Re: Fun with Bottle Rockets
god damn!!!!!!! You got a bottle rocket to explode in the air. How did you do it? I have asked this question many times, but most people say they have done it by lighting the fuse. How did you do it? PLease answer quickly, becuase I have a few bottle rockets, and i really want them to explode in the air.

Re: Fun with Bottle Rockets
A gross, is its original form, is a dozen dozens. In other words, 144, as EP said.
Most of the bottle rockets wasted in my youth were used in wars. It's a dangerous passtime, but also a lot of fun. The rules are simple: Two or more warring parties are given an equal number of rockets and set up camp twenty five paces apart. The signal to begin fire is given, and each warring party attempts to pummel the opposition into submission in an extremely pyrotechnic manner.
We always used welding gloves and woodworking goggles when we did this, but it's still rather hazardous...

Re: Fun with Bottle Rockets
I did that, but with roman candles. Also, don't shot bottle rockets at your neighbors on the forth, they might get mad, as did mine.

Re: Fun with Bottle Rockets
I still do those little fights with people on the fourth. We do not call it a war anymore, we just shoot stuff at eachother and scare the shit out of people. We use M-88s and bottle rockets now.
