If there is a chemical reaction, such as acid and a base, then it is, but I do not consider dry ice bombs bombs.

I actually like the name "Rupturing device" since that's what the gas does. Change it to "Pressurized rupturing device" if your feeling snooty and elite.

But when you think about it, even a dry ice "bomb" is powerful.

i dont think that they are bombs but bomb is a lot easier to type then pressure rupture device and it put a stigma of fear around it so mayby less people will go around playing with them

I consider them bombs. I believe it is classed as a machchanical explosive.
There is chemical, such as TNT or most explosives machinical where somthing must be ruptured to explode such as a pipe bomb or a fire cracker then there are nuclear bombs.

None of you can really say what IS a bomb and what ISN'T. If it explodes or does any other thing that is violent then I consider it a 'bomb'
