any ideal materials to be launched from a
6mm straw as a 'shot shell' ?
i tried graphite (pencil lead)
but it do no damage to target material

Peppercorn works great ive killed many birds with my bb gun using this load just drop 10-15 down the barrle and shoot, also has a great spread,

Rocksalt, not as good
Lead from a shootgun shell, use some wadding
,many more,

No i didnt i had that idea over a year ago, i just noticed it and thought hey they are the same size as bbs but are lighter so i can so a hell of a lot of them at close range.

Peppercorn is blac pepper befpr it is ground up........

Coarse metal fragments might do the trick, like scraps left behind by a drill.

Range would obviously be limited, but you could certainly take someone's eyes out.

that is not a very good idea to use salt in your barrel unless you wanna rust the hell out of the inside and i find the easyist ammo is to get a strip of nails for a nail gun and then use the angle grinder and cut the tips off so you have about .8 cm of a nail and you use thouse with some wadding it works all right but it tumbles some times and does not work very good for acuratcy

my 'barrel' is basically plastic straw,
so it is everything proof except fire...
so launching salt would not be a problem...
but you could be surprised by the damage
done by a straw-barrel gun

410 gauge shotgun rabbit and squirl (or birdshot) would be ideal for shooting out of BB guns.
(Also VERY useful in secondary projectiles for Co2 Crater makers..because of thier small size they fit into the co2 powerlett container easily. And if you think that a Co2 crater maker filled with gunpowder sends alot of shrapnell then comb the area..youll probably be suprised to find most of the co2 container is still in tact(though it is very deformed)...generally they end up splitting apart and flying in 2 or three whole pieces and not shattering like many people would have you believe. This holds true regardless of many grades of black and rifle powder. Put in some rabbit and squirl bb's(with some bigger bb's if you can cram them in there) and youll notice the difference (as well as hear them hitting things all around you if your a little to close.)
