explosive crystals
you can make explosive crystals by adding bleach and iodine into a film canister and let it sit for 24 hours and then you will see little crystals on the bottom (if you want bigger cystals and/or more of them you can use a bigger container.) now pay close attention casue here comes the dangerous part these crystals can and will explode under 4 POUNDS of pressure that means you can kick, sit on, drop, sqeeze, or do just about any thing and they might go off wile this has its advantages it can also be a bad thing and there is also the problem of straining them out of the container but when you are finished they are VERY usefull because you can even stick a fuse in them plus all those other things i mentioned. anyways you have been warned so be careful and if you dobut that this works then try it, instead of jumping to conclusions.
thank you.

Re: explosive crystals
I read this before in a text file, iodine something. It indicated you were supposed to use iodine crystals instead of your regular over the counter household tincture of iodine. I never got around to trying this.

Re: explosive crystals
ive heard of regular iodine working (household) and rember- 4 ponds of pessure to go off i told a kid how to do this and he had one blow up in his hand but he just got a little burned but it depends on the quanity of them. yes you can strain these you just got to be careful and be careful not to squeez them when you place them in somthing else.

Re: explosive crystals
iodine is sold at pharmacies in little containers. it is used to put on cuts, for the purpose of sterilizing them i think.
i think if this anarchy cookbook exerpt actually works it would with tinctured iodine as well as iodine crystals, because the tincutred stuff is actually just crytals in water i think, so it should allow for the same effect. i think the anarchists cookbook called it somehting ioDIDE, but i dont really care enough to check!

Re: explosive crystals
Nitrogen triiodide, also called ammonium triiodide, is a very unstable explosive that's not really practical due to its tremendous instability and cost. When wet it is stable but when dry the touch of a feather can cause it to detonate. Wet nitrogen triiodide should be spread out as much as possible or numerous small piles made. When dry the nitrogen triiodide will not explode from its own weight if spread out, a single large pile will.
The high cost of iodine, anywhere from $60 to $100 for a 500 g bottle, and its rarity, make it impractical from an economic standpoint. Those useless anarchist texts say iodine can be purchased in drug stores, it is sold in very tiny amounts heavily diluted with alcohol. The drug dealers have made iodine a restricted chemical, very few drug stores even carry it now, there are safer alternatives. The simplicity in which this explosive can be made gives wanna be punks an excuse to try. THIS EXPLOSIVE IS ONLY A CURIOSITY AND SHOULD NEVER BE MADE Stories abound about the dangers and ease of making nitrogen triiodide. There was a senior undergraduate student (no not me) given full access to a lab who made some, it exploded in a beaker showering him with glass. He was not wearing safety goggles. By some miracle the glass embedded in his face did not rip his eyes to shreds. Then there were the teenage hoodlums that stole some iodine from their high school chem lab, made the nitrogen triiodide at home, and brought it back to school. With a pop and puff of purple gas the teacher knew what it was. A word of advise to them for next time: Leaving the instructions on top of your desk in full view of teach will save you a lot of time scrubbing iodine stains during your next suspension. It is best to leave it dry where you want to detonate it ASAP. ammonium hydroxide beaker iodine stirring rod water graduated cylinder
Nitrogen triiodide is formed when iodine atoms displace the hydrogen atoms in ammonia NH3 + I = NI3. This reaction occurs when iodine crystals, I2 are soaked in excess ammonium hydroxide. To begin, select a small beaker or even a disposable cup about 50-mL in capacity. This process may permanently stain any container so I suggest the cup. Add 2 g of iodine crystals to the beaker, crush them as much as possible with a stirring rod. Add 40 mL ammonium hydroxide to the beaker. After 2 hours the reaction should be complete. Pour the solution over a filter to collect the crystals, any excess can be rinsed out of the beaker with water. Put the crystals where you want them immediately because there only semblance of stability is when wet. Drying will take about 1 hour. You will need a graduated cylinder for measuring liquids.

Re: explosive crystals
Yeah iodine crystals (I2) are one of the most important ingrediants in making meth. You can buy them but there is paper work involved in it.

Re: explosive crystals
yeah it's pretty damn hard to find iodine any more cuz of all dem meth labs and shit it is possible tho cuz my school has a bottle im guessing about 250 g of iodine it's fun shit if you got the right stuff word o' warning do not and i reapeat DO NOT use ammonium hydroxide in making Nitrogen triiodide i would suggest using house hold ammonia because of the inpuritys in it makes the sensitivity lower trust my guys this is a GOOD THING when it come to this stuff any ways peace i g2g

Re: explosive crystals
The "impuritys" DO NOT reduce the senitivity of the compound, only reduce the yeild.
Forget about making nitrogen triiodine. It's far too unstable for anyone to be playing with.

I made it once. It's good practice for unstable explosives.

Re: explosive crystals
How can it be good practice since no other explosive is as sensitive (I think). It would just make you paranoid, but i guess sometimes that is a good thing. Does anyone know how powerful it is, like to AP or BP?
