CO2 morter
hi i have this idea that works but could definitly use some improvments so im turning to you guys for advice
if you take a 3/4 in. pvc pipe i found that 2.5 ft works the best and you tape a thum tack on one end of it (or an endcap with a hole drilled in it if your looking for a more permanet(sp) type)and drop a 12gram co2 cartridge it will launch to a decent hight if estimated 500ft any mods besides setting it up as a tri pod sort of setup would be apreciated thanx-primo

Re: CO2 morter

Re: CO2 morter
From the sound of it, the CO2 is fired. Not a lot you can do with it, modwise.

Re: CO2 morter
Yes there is. Bolt a pellet gun to the back of the thing instead of the nail.
Instant CO2 rifle. Punctures that silly cartridge every time, if you center it right.

Re: CO2 morter
I used Gamo pointies. Domes will work, I don't know about wadcutters (flat head) pellets.

Re: CO2 morter
so wait, about the first post... are you planing to have gravity pull the co2 cart. down the pvc tube hard enough to puncture the co2 cap right? the thing that i would suggest is to plastic cement the thumb tack to the inside of the pvc endcap, or else the co2 will just escape through the end... but yeah, it should work in theory...
let me know how far it goes...

Re: CO2 morter
if you tape it right little or no co2 escapes and it goes 100 yards or so if you do it right and i have gotten it to work it just needs improvements
