Re: powder fireballs
Either will work. I usually use a straw and my Zippo. It works well enough, I suppose, but it's only interesting the first few times...

Re: powder fireballs
lite a candle and put a poster tube over it.
Take some creamer/flour and pour down the tube.
You should get a nice fireball out from the top of the tube.

Re: powder fireballs
Its better using baby powder because you can just spray as much ads you want as long as your using the johnson&johnson kind that comes in the plastic bottle with the litte holes on top

Re: powder fireballs
I've used my jetlighter before (same principle). It works just as well.

Re: powder fireballs
Damn powder fireballs are fun to do, but has anyone thought of making a powder fueled flamethrower? Here's my idea.
1.Take a hand held leaf blower and add a powder holder (1 Gallon Milk carton with bottom cut off or bleach container?)
2.Then cut a hole in the blower's pipe (The fan port, not sure of the name.) And attach the powder container.
3.Then just attach a propane torch (Windproof obviously) go to town.
Although this seems impractical as it would consume too much fuel to start with and would probably have a hard time igniting all the powder.
Still it was worth putting the idea out there.

Re: powder fireballs
Aechean, take a trash can, plastic or metal, and a mortar shell firework. Cut the main charge off the shell and save the powder then tape the bottom charge so it's sealed. Then simply dump a bag of flour in the trash can (Inside should be dry) cap it and shake it around, then open the lid, stick the igniter inside and seal it. Light it and run because if it works that lid will fly.
Sorta the safe version of the dry-iced trashcan kids did in school.
