Napalm is ignited my a chemical reaction that releases large amounts of energy as heat causing fire also Napalm creats it's own oxygen so u can't extinguish it easily. It will burn underwater and it also burns somewhere in the vacinity of 10,000 degrees f or so if i can remeber the artical correctly.

I've said this before and i will say it again. All it that napalm is; **** JELLYIZED GASOLINE ****- It will not burn underwater. - It doe's not give off its own oxygen. - I really don't think it burns at 10,000 it only burns a bit hotter than gas. Any as for making napalm goes, Just make the easy kind: 1.Gas 2.Styrofoam If you really do need some instructions, I have posted some from www.obscureknowledge.net --------------------------------------------- Napalm Replacment; Burns Strong For a Long Time by ZAO9 Ok before you read this remember this IS NOT napalm but it is something similar. The supplies you will need are: 1. Gasoline. 2. Styrofoam. Basically this is really easy to make. Get the gasoline and mix it with Styrofoam. Keep adding Styrofoam until you get a jell like substance sort of like gak then light it. It burns long and hot but not as good as napalm but a good replacement. You can keep it for like 6 months before the gas dries out and it turns hard. If you dont want that to happen keep it submerged in a little bit of gasoline.

Re: How is napalm lit on fire or whatever?
an electric squib detonator is like a blasting cap. except the bottom is taken out or small holes are in the bottom. the base charge is different than blasting caps in that they produce fire in stead of explosion.several hundred different compounds may be used BaO2 plus alunimum etc etc. Check out the encyclopedia of 'explosives and related compounds' at your library

Re: How is napalm lit on fire or whatever?
u cant buy those, can u? this may seem strange, but if anyone has read Walter Mitty, he recalls what he should buy. one of the things is Squibb's (yes, capitalized). So, can you buy them, or is the story talking about something else?
