what kinda of chemicals/mixtures are easy to come by and good for homemade fire crackers. i found that sugar and potassium nitrate gives a good flames, and smoke but burns slow, so i can use that. all i really want to do is make some simple firecrackers.

black powder works great for firecrackers. i would reccommend making Co2 bombs as your intro into real, and i use the term lightly, explosives. but beware the shrapnel.
