Hey i have a load of sodium chlorate in the form of weedkiller. well infact it is only 50% sodium chlorate and it has a fire depressent but when heated a little bit it goes up and makes a fair bit of smoke it burns quite slow. Now the question i put to you is what can i do to this to get rid of the fire depressent or to make it more pure or to make it burn faster and does any one know what i can do with sodium chlorate. Can i do anything with it? thanx

Re: sodium chlorate
The fire retardant in chlorate weedkillers is sodium chloride. I hear you can remove it by sieving the mixture, as the grains of both substances are different sizes.
