Default Electrolysis

I've asked in a couple of forums now, so now i'm back with you guys.

This isn't really a pyro question but since you're the smartest people in the Totse forums, then maybe I have a chance in here

I've been wondering what type of electrolysis it requires to make aluminium blue. I've seen it in all sorts of places and now I want my spudgun handle anodized blue

Well peacemaker I think you jumped the gun a little with your second statement, but you also never asked in the two forums more relevant to this question so hey.

Well colored anodizing is a proprietary procedure so you are not likely to have someone simply give you a formula. Plus the chemicals involved are difficult to obtaim never mind the extensive and special equipment. You probably can ask until you are blue in the face and you will never find a method that will be satisfactory for you.

Take it to a coatings specialist if you have your heart set on it.

Lots of paintball places will custom anodize or powdercoat something for you. You can get it done there, or possibly even ask them for details about the process.
