A guy I know told me that weed killer and sugar mixed together will make an explosion. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever tried this and if they have, does it matter what type of weed killer or sugar you use?

i doubt thats true but u can try it. if its true then tell me. if u mix certain types of fertilizer together it will explode. i really dont recommend that though. instead of blowing up a house u will end up blowing up the whole fuckin neigborhood. thats what the terrorists used to blow up the federal building in oklahoma city.

i disagree to some extent. ballistics and explosives are seperate sortof, if your trying to make a gun/gas cannon/rockets etc, then yes, ballistics. if your trying to build some explosives to go blow shit up with, i think this would be the location

That's not true. When you mix different kinds of fertilizer together, you won't get an explosion, and you could only detonate fertilizer with tnt like explosives.

And in Oklahoma they used a large van filled to the roof with fertilizer. Since I don't think he's gonna mix a truckload of fertilizers together at once in his bedroom, the block, even the house, even his room, and himself, will be safe. It aint gonna explode by itself.

Facts.

Potassium chlorate weed killer can be mixed with sugar to form a powerful (and dangerous) low explosive. It will burn quickly, and in confinement (pipes, tennis balls, &c) will explode.

Ammonium nitrate is a high explosive in and of itself, and ammonium nitrate based fertilizers can be detonated as a high explosive, Oklahoma City style, with a powerful blasting cap. Ammonium nitrate can also be mixed with diesel fuel or nitromethane to increase its sensitivity and power.

ive never found any weed killer made of sodium chlorate. does anyone know a brand name?

its actually very hard to get over here in england because most big stores wont sell it to under 18's ive never heard of it being sold in the USA you just have to look around

It is not sold in the US. Potassium and ammonium nitrate are, though.
