I have just finish making my thermite, it took me a lot of time because I didn't find aluminium dust so I had to do it my self. My plan is to open a payphone. What I need to know is how thermite is used, do you put it in a some kind of container, are you suposed to press it, how much will I need to open a payphone.
Any tips on how to work with thermite will work.

um, its an incediary mixture that burns REALLY REALLY hot when ignited, it can melt carbon stell (thats the stuff that payphones are made of).

the hardest thing is to ignite it. its takes a lot of heat, many people use a magnesium ribbon, but you can use a sparkler or two.

just put the thermite on top of whatever you want it to melt, and ignite it.

and tell me how you made the aluminum powder?

I made the aluminium dust the old fashion way, I used a metal file and some aluminiun cable that it's used in the electrical towers.

Another way to get aluminum powder is to "borrow" your mom's or anyone else's coffee bean grinder and put little bits of crumpled up aluminum foil in it and turn in on. It gets a coarse mixture, but if you add more foil, it gets finer and finer. Make sure you take breaks every so often because it gets hot, and make sure it doesn't get caught and the blades. A respirator is necessary because of the aluminum dust the is created.

*I would suggest hiding the cofee grinder because it is unusable for anything else now. Aluminum will not ignite thie way, but DO NOT, under ANY circumstances, grind anything else like this!! If you do, you should immeadiately cut off your hands so you can cause no more harm. The aluminum dust lines the grinder so it will be like mixing chemicals, and the blades will cause friction. Hope this is helpful, but please be safe about it.
