Napthalene (C10H6)
Hazards: abdominal cramps, headaches,fatigue, kidney damage. Ingestion causes anemia, jaundice, kidney and liver damage, Coma.
Irritating to eyes and skin, May cause cataracts or skin rashes after prolonged exposure.
First aid: In eyes, flush with water, Get medical attention.
Do not wear contact lenses when working with napthalene.
Skin exposure: Wash skin thoroughly, remove contaminated clothing. Get medical attention if symptoms appear.
Special note : If molten napthalene gets on skin, Or a solution containing napthalene gets on skin, Wash the area thoroughly, And get immediate medical attention.
