Yeah u can try the drugstore, but not all drugstores carry it..... i know that Walgreens does not but i always buy mine from medecine and more... if u have a medecine and more around u then there u go.... about $1.69 for 6 oz

Used in old fashioned pickeling of meats. Hunters supplies? I have info on extraction from certain kinds of dirt, but very much work.

Ok, found book! "Foxfire 5" 1979 from Anchor/Doubleday pages 253-260. Extraction of KNO3 from dirt by "hillbilly" method. Good pictures.
