I'm having trouble finding any reference to "pure oxygen sticks" on the internet. Are you sure that your friend didn't misinform you? You can't have a stick of oxygen, to my knowlege... It would be like having a can of dehydrated H20.

In theory, every element can exist in the three states...solid, liquid, gas, but as far as solid oxygen, I personally have never heard of this...seems like it would take a very low temperature to freeze oxygen into a solid form.

i have heard of oxygen in liquid state but never on solid. i know of some sticks the military uses but they are magnesium or something else used for starting fires in any conditions pouring rain anything i think they would even light under water.

It may be phosphorus sticks that yer thinking of... i know that phosphorus grenades were used in the Vietnam war and when struck by some of the burning shite from one of these, it could not be put out... not even by jumping into a river. something like the oxidation of these provides it's own oxygen or something like that...

freaky.

magnesium is similar if you've ever driven by a car fire and they had magnesium rims the rims cause the fire to get bigger. magnesium fires can not be put out by water. you have to snuff them.

Chrome: WP Grenades are fucking awful. They burn around 2800 degrees at the point of ignition and have a 90ft. kill RADIUS lasts stats I heard. They use them as tank killers. It can burn through the armor on alot of tanks and on those it can't the crew just cooks inside rather than being scorchrd to death.

SolidOx pellets are sodium perchlorate, not solid oxygen. They're used to make acyteline gas for welding.

Oh, because it says in (Good Ole) Jolly Roger's Cookbook that you can make explosives out of it and sugar.

About the Magnesium firestarter sticks: In a large block, magnesium will not burn. You have to ignite small bits of it...that's why those sticks come with a scraper. Still, powder the stuff, and you're off!

DJ is right, they come in a pellet form. Be very careful with them.
