Creation and Evolution
Here's my theory... God created evolution. How does that sound? he had it all planned out, planted the seed and let everything grow. Makes sense to me and im content with it. But make fun of me, what do I know?

Re: Creation and Evolution
Yes what do you know. I dont think you understand the point of a Religious debate. The atheists are trying to disprove religion while the bevets are trying to prove it.
And as for your personal opinion, well if that was true, it would be contradictory to what the Christian Bible says. I don't know of any other religions.

Re: Creation and Evolution
Someone else said this before: If god created evolution, wouldn't that mean god was on the same thinking level as hitler?

Re: Creation and Evolution
Hitler's majestic plan to purify and improve the human race by killing off all those who would weaken the gene pool. (Supposedly homosexuals, Jews, Gypsies, the handicapped, etc...)
Natural selection: God's majestic plan to adaptify and improve every species by killing off all those with less suited genes.
Surely a God who cared about every single person could have come up with a better way for species to adapt to environments, one tha didn't sacrifice the weaker individual for the sake of the group as a whole.
Note: I don't think adaptify is a real word, but I'm sure you understand what I meant to say.

Actually, I wanted a word that meant 'endow with the ability to adapt'

Re: Creation and Evolution
What I don't understand about the Christian bible is when did the magic-scientific change over occur?

Re: Creation and Evolution
quote: Surely a God who cared about every single person could have come up with a better way for species to adapt to environments, one tha didn't sacrifice the weaker individual for the sake of the group as a whole.
God must be an all round savage then, since in nature, the death of one organism results directly in the survival of another. (In human society, the death of an excessively large number of organisms leads to our general survival). He must care about people to a degree, being the top of the food chain, but then you're assuming we're the most highly evolved species possible, and there's the "God created man in His own image" thing, even though we're still evolving gradually (becoming larger and more athletic).
