Not entirely, it depends upon the religion in question. I doubt that there will ever be Buddhist, Jain, or Christian Scientist suicide bombers. I admit that i threw the last one in their just because it sounds funny.

No, People start wars and suicide bombings. To this day i have never seen Jesus Christ or Bhudda run into a crowded area and set off a bomb. I have never seen shiva use weapons of mass destruction.

It seems to me that suicide bombing has only become a symbol for religious-based warfare because of the (relatively) recent use of this tactic in the middle east.

If you're referring to the prevalence of religiously-motivated self-sacrifice, then I think that anybody who's willing to sacrifice themselves for a cause they consider worthy, whether religious or not, should actually know what they're gonna die for.

Anyways, Religion is always perverted through people. Just watch Dogma. It's the idea behind the religion that's important, but when people try and hem it in they almost always manage to choke it to death. All it takes is one person in control to ruin a belief and add in things about who to hate and how to live. Religions are so easily made and unmade that you can't really say that it's religion that causes wars. It's people who let the power pervert them who have the say behind everything.

Shiva is an hindu god. Anyway you are all wrong about this religion thing.

The Hindu belief system has three main gods, of which most other gods are related to or incarnations of. Brahma is the Creator, Vishnu is the Preserver, and Shiva is the Destroyer. It's like the Trinity, except not.

However, it would be wrong to think of Shiva as some kind of evil death god. He's supposed to be the god of change more than anything - what's destruction but really fast change? His consort is supposed to be Kali, the goddess of death. You might recall her making a brief appearance in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Religion is the biggest reason most wars start! Have you heard of the Holy Crusades. Millions died just because of a belief. That was a few hundered years ago. For something more recent think of how Osama Bin Ladan excuse for starting war with USA. He called it Jihad or holy war. So whether its an excuse for war or it is the reason, who knows? Laters

Shiva kills things so that new things can be born. Bhrama creates life. Vishnu preserves it until the person dies thein comes Shiva. Hinduism believes in reincarnation and so the cycle continues.

My parents, grandparents and all of my relatives believe in Hinduism, I'll ask them what they believe on the subject of Shiva's gender. I don't believe in Hindusm.

Anyway just felt like saying that I believe that it's not religion that starts wars. It's when people start butting into other people's lives and saying that one religion is the true religion and that everyone should believe in one religion.

You can't blame it on religion, especially when religion was created to make the world a better place (or so I believe). You can debate about it but keep this in mind, no matter what you do there will always be someone with a different point of view and will take action to prove you wrong. Which is the reason why all these "holy" wars start.
