That silly man, is simply human, biological nature. There is no element of supernatural force there. Nearly every creature in the kingdom displays the simple traits of self-preservation and protection of their home, young, family, etc, etc...There is nothing 'Satanic' about that, it is impressed into our very genes.

He told them things like they were better than other people, the had realized the truth, ect.. He would tell you anything u wanted to hear in order to convince you that he is right. In Lavey's satanism "magic" is used as a fancy word for positive thought. It's like christianity u can pray to God but shit won't happen if you don't make it happen.

My advice to you is to read about Nihilism. You might find it interesting. Also if You are into philosophy try reading Nietzsche's will to power it's a great book about existentilism.

He is right about LaVey being little more than a con artist, a shuckster who panned his goods to celebrities like the Rolling Stones and others of the 50's and 60's generation that was looking for some silly way to rebel against their parents beliefs. He exploited that, and turned Satanism into a hip side-show circus that set back Witchcraft back into the hokey...

I guess you are calling Satre, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Heidegger and Camus all con-artists too? Comeon dude he basically (as I said) was just a modern existentialist. Yeah I think he threw in a couple of things to make it more cool but the basic teaching is still there... and I reckon it has a fuckload to offer. The people who reckon he was a con-artist are just the ones who don't like existentialism - the same way an athiest would see a priest as a con-artist... this I can understand.

I like Nietzsche and have read all his books regarding to existentialism, and yet I don't like Lavey. I have read all of Anton Lavey's book's and it is my personal opinion that most of his ideas came from Satre, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche. I think that he just combined ideas from previous philosophers and claimed them as his own in a simplified version.
