3 of the five are real people, so that eliminates Shiva (a God) and Moses (a legend).

Buddah came from a soft background so he's a wimp and looses.

Christ was a carpenter and Mohammed was a desert trader who married money and fought a war on his comeback to Mecca from Medina.

Christ kept preaching peace and love, Mohammed was not alien to war, so Mohammed would probably beat the bejesus (I love my pun) out of Christ.

Winner...Mohammed.

If it were the religious followers fighting each other in a melee battle royal, then the Buddha side would win hands down. The greatest Easterm martial artists would own everyone. Jet Li is a Buddhist.

Also the fact that he's a god of destruction.

What was Nox's signature?

"I am become death,
destroyer of worlds."

And Buddha's followers would lose. Most of their moves wouldn't work against a properly equiped army.

Thor/Perun would strike Mohammed the false prophet down with his mighty hammer. however out of the 5 i stated i would say Shiva takes the prize.

True, Jesus loves those that love tactical nukes and air superiority.

Greek
Roman

Since my heritage includes neither (that I know of) I would say that it makes a big difference to them (but not me).

Anyone ever play FF-VII? Well anyway, you could summon Shiva, and she was pretty bad-ass. Then again Moses convinced god to rain down hell fire and brimstone, so it would be a pretty cool fight.

Zeus, like most of the Greek Gods, is more of a child-like deity with no connection whatsoever to his worshippers. He is also not very powerful in the pantheon, and other gods constantly subvert his will or do things contrary to what he says.

Jupiter has the same tendencies, but they are not as strong. Jupiter is more involved in lives of his worshippers and their protection and Empire.

They are both basically the same though. People worshipped them out of fear and never really connected to or loved them. Mars was the real chief god of Romans, because he was the god of nobility, sacrifice, heroism, and loyalty, and Romans admired these traits more than Jupiter's unbridled lust and dominion. I dont know who the Greeks liked the most, I guess Athena. Their war god sucked and was more like a devil, who had no nobility or honor and just loved to see people bleed and hear them scream.

I was putting together a theory - that you believed it was natural, and inevitable for the son to defeat the father. It was based on some kind of twisted Zeus worship (Zeus defeats Kronos and frees his siblings.)

But apparently you regard him as just another pussy.

The son sits to the right of his father because Dad is acknowledging him as a threat and placing him on his weapon arm, where he can defend himself.

That doesn't sound like dominion to me.

How can violent succession be the natural way, when the son respects what the father teaches him?

Those were descriptions of Zeus, I told you Jupiter was a little different.

I didnt say violent succession was normal or natural, I just said some tension was normal, and acknowledged at least unconciously.

The Jupiter/Zeus/Marduk myths of creation and divinity that have a younger god unseating his father are more of a metaphor for mans nature growing beyond his previous one, kinda like how ObiWan Kenobi told Luke Vader betrayed and murdered his father... lol

Jupiter and Zeus are personifications of mans new found (at least back then) drive for power over his surroundings and himself, which put him at odds with his former, more animal-like self that had less control over his own destiny. Thats why Jupiter fathers all the other gods, or they are related to him. All other human virtues and vices spring from the Jupiterian quest for power.

That's why I said melee, nothing but fists, feet, and melee weapons.

If conventional weaponry such as grenades and automatic rifles were in the equation, many would do well not to underestimate the VC's, Japaneese, and mass numbers of active Chineese Buddhists.

One of the unwritten rules of combat is that you never get involved in an infantry war with China, let alone the other Eastern Buddhism dominant countries.

"violent succession" was my paraphrase of: "A new generation of youth raised for conflict would rightly tear it asunder when that happens, in an acceptable and predictable cycle of Fascist civilization."

I assumed that this would take place within the SAME culture (because that was the context), thus the father and son reference. Are you saying that the state would be defeated by ANOTHER culture?

No. The violent succession you were talking about in this thread was literal son overthrowing his literal father. A new generation of youth overthrowing or completely altering a government is not the same thing.

No, you took it too literal. I'm talking about fascist government - as you see it, in it's ideal form.

I used the terms father and son - only to represent the generations, but also to emphasize the value of the family relationship (the knowledge that is passed down to the next generation.) ie. fathers would teach their sons - that fascism is good.

So, does the succeeding generation reject the concept of fascism? and then the next one reinstate it?

User, no, people can think Fascism is good and still depose their Fascist leaders. They would have to realize their leaders are not being good Fascists. I dont think a Fascist succession would happen while upholding anti-Fascist principles. People who believed in monarchy deposed their kings for hundreds of years but kept with monarchy. Same thing with Caesars and Pharaohs.

Alright, I can understand now, how it could be somewhat spiritually self-sustaining.

This BBS can be a clumsy medium at times, especially when you get melodramatic ("tear it asunder") lol.
