Anyone else here a satanist? Please dont flame me unless you have read the bible and understand it properly.

Satanism is not a religion, it's a way of life. Satanists don't actually belive in satan. This is such a misunderstood subject. I'm not a satanist myself, but I know some people who are, (mostly chicks) and they're pretty cool.

Please inform me on the real meaning of the Bible, I've been looking for this everywhere, how goes it?

satanism strikes me as being rather silly. i mean, the same ideals, under a more believable name, would still be the same ideals. satanism limits its participants by scaring away those who might believe its too extreme or simply a crock based on its name.

having said that, i do think there are a number of sound principles in the satanic bible.

It is too a religion, its just sad.

depends on what god you dont believe in and for what reasons. If you dont believe in any god at all, you are athiest. If you believe there is a god or a higher power but cant agree on which one, you are agnostic.

I dont dislike the christian religion but do like to look down on them slightly for their misunderstanding ways of life. For example, greed and envy are both 'deadly sins' but! They are the ingredients for motivation, and without that you wont get anywhere in life. Pride is a deadly sin, but wait, they wear clothes. If you wore only enough to cover private areas, fair enough, but since i see more clothing, nice shoes, styled hair, decorated houses, nice gardens etc etc. Doesnt this seem to present some sort of pride? The list goes on but i shall not continue. You can order the satanic bible by Anton LaVey from any book shop. If your interested, or not, its still has some interesting points from many angles that would interest anyone that likes to discuss religion. Greed and envy never really accomplished anything, what are you talking about? Sacrifice, heroism, and a healthy desire to compete are infinitely more valuable than something as impotent and Jewish as envy. If it isn't a religion and isn't your standard atheism/humanism then I suggest it changes its name.. you have to admit the Satan is a very religiously laden word/concept.. I suggest you call yourself 'libertarians' or 'Ayn-Randies' because otherwise I think you are marginalising the real religious satanists who do have black masses and worship the Evil One.. you know 'those' Satanists that are ruining our economy, corrupting our children and releasing all those dreadful records.

"Satanist" is what atheist goths who are trying to be "cool" call themselves.

Without God, there is no Satan, therefore you can't be an actual Satanist without believing in God. If you call yourself a Satanist without believing in God, you're just a trendy goth atheist.

Spirit of '22, you seem to be a bit passionite about this subject, so why not read/glance at the Satanic Bible just to base your argument[s] around? This topic sprung a curiosity in me, so in 2 minutes I downloaded the Bible off of kazaa.
