Re: mormon
Ask them how many of their bigamist members have survived MCD (Multiple Concurrent Divorce), then hand them your trash and ask them to drop it at the curb on their way back down the driveway.

Re: mormon
My experience has been that whenever I ask one of the Mormon missionaries a really involved or deep philosophical question, the response is, "We'll get to that, here's what the prophet said about.........". The dogma book is immediately opened and the sermon begins (sorta sounds like Jesse Jackson at a press conference). The conversation (sermon) never returns to the question asked.
Now when they come to the door (2-3 times a year), I politely send them away. Polite because I figure they get enough grief from my Jehovah Witness neighbors.

Re: mormon
Can't believe I didn't see this earlier. Ok, I have had extensive experience with mormons and what they are trying to do is sell you into their religion, if you ask alot of questions then they basically break it down like a business proposition and try to make good time if your not going to be a relatively easy prospect.
The whole thing is a cult invented by this Joseph Smith character. They say that Jesus came to America after he was resurrected and went back to show himself to his disciples, it even says that Joseph Smith son "added his thoughts" to his book, which is basically a watered down way of saying he put what he want in there. The Nephites and Lamanites are nowhere mentioned in any historical records and the supposed gold plates that claimed this are nowhere to be found.
The whole thing is basically leeching off of Christianity, I could have just as easily made this religion up if I really wanted to decieve the masses. On top of that all they have 12 present day prophets that supposeably recieve messages from God and they gather once every 4 years I think it is in Salt Lake City, Utah (that place is mormon country).
See, Christ is at least mentioned in history, we know this man actually existed and was cruxified , whether or not he could do what is claimed in the Bible is another matter entirely, but at least their are records of his existence. And what was in what is now known as America at this time? Native Americans/Indians, and the indians don;t have any records of any of this shit and their religions are radically different than anything in Mormonism. The whole thing is BS, don't buy into it, get out of it before they brainwash you good and get you into their cult because once your in it's too late, I have never seen a Mormonism realize the err of their denomination.
All evidence is stacked against that denomination, the only thing they have going for them is their own self-created propaganda in the form of the Book of Mormon and their missionaries that spread it. You have been warned.

Re: mormon
The way I see it, if your religion has to go door to door to sell itself, it's a cult.
To answer your question, warweed12, ask them to prove the existance of God.

Re: mormon
Noone can do that. You will just get bombarded with riddles in the form of parables and they will basically flat out tell you that they are using their faith to bridge the huge logical gaps, except they won't tell you that it is in lieu of logic when it most definately is.
The chances of any 1 religion being bang on is pretty nil. Is their a God? Possibly, but if there is then most likely he has never appeared to man and every religion is a incorrect misrepresentation of it. Too many possibilities to come to a conclusion.

Re: mormon
There is no logical way yet to affirm or deny the exitance of god and any astute mind would be able to find where a person's faith bridges a logical gap.

Re: mormon
Tell them that they're the only religion that sold out to the USA (they gave up polygamy for statehood). That should piss them off.
