Why so angry?
Why are christians in particualr so angry when some athiests states thier beliefs or opinions on a christian topic?
Im not throwing a fit or anything i am just curious to why christians in particular seem to have the need to justify thier religion so badly. Is it insecurity, or just a strong feeling to express god to everyone, or some other reason?

Re: Why so angry?
They just don't get it Fred,
It is the atheists mostly who run around this forum deperately trying to rationalise their positions. The christians on the whole explain their positions quite well when asked appropriately.
In fairness though, it is easier for christians to acknowledge the faith required in their position. The atheists have trouble acknowledging the faith involved in their position because they think that faith is a sign of weakness for some reason. Even though they rely on it so heavily to believe that something doesn't exist for certain. Logic runs them around in circles and they get frustrated and yes sometimes angry.
If you hang around long enough you will come to laugh at the atheists' need to religously label themselves and rationalise their position with agitated and grandiose gestures.
You get a lot of infantile-through-adolescent repression surfacing around here, surfacing as rebellion against the religious dogma so insidiously administered to our young. Mostly these young people are not even aware of true philosophy because it has been censored in their education. Yes they are angry, because they think that no-one else questions the validity of god-answers to the biggest questions.
Most of them calm down after a while when they start to realise that they are not alone around here. The atheists though, or at least some of them, well I don't know, They seem to protest too much! They seem to be trying to fool themselves most of the time.

Re: Why so angry?
Theres only like two Christians on this forum and they seldom post...
I get very angry at atheists all the time because their arguments are usually:
"Youre stupid cause you believe in something George Carlin makes fun of. Im better than you." Lets not forget the oft used:
"_____ is gay? What, it has sex with other _____ of the same sex?" Thats an obvious defeated tactic, drawing attention to clearly stated understood language because their textbooks dont mention it.
Oh, and then theres the:
"Religion makes you hate being alive, how do you tolerate it?" kinda shit from Messer, which is funny cause most Christians I know are a happy lot, whereas Messer's messageboard is called Life is Annoying. But he has all the innocent love of life of pre-Christian peoples, doesnt he?

Re: Why so angry?
Im agonistic guys. Im asking why christians get so angry(or frustrated) when anyone questions thier religion, not why you dont like athiests.

Re: Why so angry?
And we're saying that as those who would be arguing with them if this was the case, well we're telling you that it just doesn't happen that much around here. At least not in the short time that I've been here.
You've obviously got something to say so, how 'bout you tell us why you think they do.

Re: Why so angry?
The point is, just as atheists get angry when Christians try to impose their views upon others and argue that their ideology is the only right one, Christians get angry when atheists try and impose their views on others by "disproving" religious beliefs and arguing they are signs of weakness.
