How can you people hate God?! He's the most amazing person I've ever tried to imagine!! His power, his majesty, his grace... Is unfathomable!! He is just!! He isn't like Kali or Pan or Diana, He won't throw you back if you do something wrong, He cries when you cry, He laughs when you laugh, He creates every sunset and every sunrise just for you!!! He is I Am. And I love Him. If you saw what He has brought me out of or through in my lifetime, or at least could understand it, you would be amazed. God is awesome!! Praise the Lord!!

And you know this how? Does god send you letters? It's nice that you have found something to make you happy... It's not that most people here hate god.. it's more of a hate for religion or for what people do in the name of god. I for one don't hate god because i don't believe in god.

And why you ask? Well im one of those people who needs proof for his existance. And if i ever believed in a god like entity it would be so far away from what you believe it wouldn't be the same god. In which i wouldn't feel justified in calling god.

God doesn't send letters, He talks to people. If you listen to Him, He will tell you everything you need to know. He is the All Powerful God - you think He uses letters?!

What about speaking in tongues?? What about miracles?? A friend of mine went to Africa as a missionary. He was on a boat and a few days after heading off, they smelt something really bad. They found a corpse of a young boy trapped in the cargo hold, his arms and legs had been torn off. God told my friend to lay the boy's corpse out on the deck of the boat and spray it with a hose. So he did it. And the boy got up.

I respect others' opinions when it comes to just about anything. But some ideas of God are just horrible - partly because of some "Christians" ideas on who God is and what He's like.

not to be pedantic, but a torso has very limited movement. the best it can do is thrash around a bit. it doesn't even have the counterwieght to sit up. if your going to make up miracles, then at least think about physical possiblilty first. (unless god altered gravity in his area so he could float up and navigated him so he was sitting on the remains of his legs). (a very painful thing id imagine, so why would anyone do it anyway?). if god didn't want the boy dead, why did god allow him to be killed in the first place? seems like alot of effort and trauma all round. somehow the idea of a dismembered rotting corpse of a small boy getting up after you get him a bit damp to no real advantage for anyone, doesn't really make for a very beliveable story, no matter how strong your faith.

you are full of it. the holocaust was done in God's name as well. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT GOD WILLED IT. i can take a crap in God's name, but that doesn't mean that God wished me to take a crap.

as humans, we are driven by hate, lust, rage, envy, all of these things. and we like to look for something to make us not look like bloodthirsty savages. often times, people like that choose God as their commander.

and if God willed a dead person sit up, he can do anything he wants. If he created it, he can very easily destroy, or do anything else he wants with it. if he wanted to, he could go bowling with the earth in his grasp.
but he doesnt'. That which is all powerful creates and renews.

he didn't just make a dead person sit up, thats not very impressive, he made a torso, without any legs or arms sit up. that is not possible. how does it sit up? what does it sit on? IT DOESN"T MAKE SENSE!!!!!!! its like getting someone who fell into volcanoe going out for coffee. it just can't happen.

i never said god wanted the crusades to happen, or even helped, but the fact is that it was done in his name. it was done in his honour, that does not mean he was impressed.

Did you know that many non-christian and other "pagan" cults also tell of events where people have been miraculously revived and brought back to life? These are common themes throughout the history of religion, which goes to say that stories of immortality and ressurection are as old as humans have walked on Earth. Shamanism is a good example. People who believe voodoo and other such practices often "wake" the dead. In other words, people began telling these tales and doing these things to explain what cannot be scientifically explained. There are even scientific accounts of people coming back to life. It is probable that many people find themselves very much alive after they have been buried at their funeral. There are literally hundreds of accounts of this happening. Let us run through a scenario. Imagine that this boy actually survived the trauma of getting his arms and legs "torn" off.( seems like an exaggeration)The boy slips into a coma from loss of blood. They place his body up on the deck and spray him with water. Couldn't the sun light and water act as a stimulus to wake him? Secondly, you never told us a complete story. Did the boy survive long? How was he able to survive with no appendages, espescially in Africa where in most places, there is poor health care. Did he even have a family? Why was this boy in the cargo hold in the first place? WHAT tore his arms and legs from his body and WHY? THIS IS INSANITY! I AM RAMBLING! Please clarify the situation, if possible. Excuse all spelling errors please.
