I dont know any intelligent christian people. does anyone?

Christans, like any group of people have smart people and really dumb people. The belief in god(s) might seem silly to me, but i do not think someone is stupid for having faith in (a) god(s). You must have faith in something. Rather it be science or religion or whatever, faith is the basis of what we use to find what is TRUE(right) or FALSE(wrong). As a techo-geek side note: morality in its final form is binary; either right or wrong.

I personally have faith in my intellegence and in proof. This is so i can apply a rational mind to reality.

I've been thinking about this for a while now and, I reckon that those of us non-believers and believers-non ought, when we visit this forum, pay a little more respect.
Don't you think, both believers and not that, we should think of this place more as a chapel?
A non-denomonational place where, people come to contemplate the nature of thier existance or, the existance of their nature or, whatever. Without resorting to the sorry state of paradoxically not tolerating intolerence (to paraphrase the intro' to this forum).
For a time at least, let us truly communicate.

My sister changed her name, emigrated to a far land... and yesterday entered into a christian 'convent', as she calls it.

I think she is t-o-t-a-l-l-y crazy, but that will not stop me admiring the consistent commitment she has shown!

Hey sedquon, define intelligence. Do it, I dare you. And I don't mean just give me a dictionary definition of the word, I want more. I want you to prove you or anyone actually knows something. If you are bassing your comments on the dictionary definition, then yes, I know a person.
My gf, Jen, is a devoted Christian. It is kindof hard being athiest, but we are able to sit and discuss such matters at a very deep level without getting offended or resulting to violence. I say she is intelligent in the dictionary sense because she had 1600 SAT scores, High ass IQ (mensa member), and she rocks my intellectual hizouse. Expand your horizons and you shall find all you need, stay in one place and you will only get what comes to you.

intelligence is not believing what other people tell u if u can investigate it yourself. intelligence is knowing that no one is right or wrong, but always somewhere in between, and knowing that the only way to satisfy the self is to find one's own place in the gray. intelligence is not putting a 'u' in my damn name when there isnt any. fuckface.

The existance of God connot be proven nor disproved, meaning that all theories that say something about God are beleifs like Bjuddhism, Cristianity, Islam or Atheism.

Atheists mock the intelligence of Christians.

Christians mock the emotions and, "relationships", of atheists.

Both follow stereotypes of what other people of their, "faith", have developed for quite some time now. There is no fine line between atheists and Christians. It's a case by case basis.
