I havnt read the bible but here is my question...
When jesus was born in the stable it was hot. However his birth place is freezin fuckin cold on December 25th!! That means he would of been born around July...
Can anyone clarify this?

and its not cold in israel ..

where did u get that is was cold from ?
even if it was cold there last year this was over 2000 years ago...different wheather conditions etc
but im sure its not cold where he was born anyway.

and yes, jesus was born on the 25th of december its not just a novelty date.

It is thorough, and well written. Many of the contradictions and errors in the bible are explained in detail.

I dunno what they based it on, crops mentioned in season, animal behavior, relative holidays or whatever, scholars think Jesus was born sometime in March.
Christmas is just another winter solstice holiday. It went something like this.
*Heathens drinking wine, dancing, celebrating life, while a little Christian looks on, praying*
"Dad, dad, the Heathens are havin fun again without us. Why cant we have fun? They say theyre celebrating the return of Light."
"Son, I got you this here present. We can celebrate our return of light too. For today, uhh, today your Savior was born."

Seriously though, Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus. Germanic poeples brought trees inside and decorated them with glitter and balls to represent the sun. They lit Yule logs to celebrate the lengthening of days around Christmas. Latin peoples had the Saturnalia, which was similar, involved wreaths, decorated flora, sun worship, and gift giving. Christianity had to compete with the Heathens.

Most people don't believe Jesus was born on December 25th. It was probably more around Spring.

Jesus was not actually born in December. The calendarthat Christians use did not come about until the middle ages, when a Russian monk was aksed by the church to devise a new calendar. He approximated Jesus' birth to be on December 25th. However, I do not remember what historians said they believe was his actual birth date.

In Israel, in december, the average temperature is 13.9 degrees. That's why the virgin mary had animals in the stabel to keep her warm.

Probably also because animals live in stables.

Jesus was born in September. I can detail this if you want to know why. Now I know I am dealing with morons! It snows in Israel in the winter alot. Just check and see.

He was born in September. Remember the reason they were traveling? Tax time. THINK... when was tax time in those days? It was in the fall after the harvest season.

So all these December 25ths have been a major hoax..Maybe by the retail industry to lure us in to getting ourselves in to debt and purchasing well beyond our means!!!
