Thats right, nirvana is not something where you gain magical powers, it is the brain working without any mental filters, so you are able to take in lots of visual, audio info etc...
It's not just for buhddists. Buhddists have just given it a name and a way to achive it, thats all.
So go read a meditation book and become enlightend!

i experience parcial nirvana, buhddists give it a name but i can't remember, yeah well i get it quite often and it is a feeling of egolessness, as if you had just seen the world for the first time.
its not an idea, but an actual feeling. these experiences can be achived by meditation (as told by, by a real buhddist) i found out i was actualy meditating by accident when i asked this buhddist how to meditate.
