Default Can you think outside the box?

quote:
Me again-- I would LOVE to talk to you -- that is unless you are really afraid to think outside the box...

Afraid? LOL! Are you afraid to consider that god may not realy exist? What if god does not exist? Suppose for a moment that he does not exist. What would your beliefs be then?

What attitude and aspects on life would you have?

How whould you explain where everything came from?

Let's see how well you can "think outside the box" shall we? Come on over...

Mind explaining who the fusk you're talking to, Mr. .org guy?

To put your question to rest, if you even use that catch phrase of a box, than you can't. Yer trapped. Git out! A small hole?

A divine being must exist. Almost every culture in the world throughout history has believed in a higher being. Many scienctists even believe that the Neanderthals had a sense of the after life. Whether the religion is Budda, Jesus, Alla..... there has to be a God/Gods.
Many of you will probly say "Bullshit, God is just an invention of man to help explain the worlds mysterys".
I say bullshit to that. How can you explain the countless people who have been strenghtened by religion or have experienced God's power first hand.

Nah Lost you're cool. The "box" comes from a philosopher. Its rather a question on if inteligence exists. You have a box, inside it is the philosopher. Into the box go cards in english. The PHilosopher (who speakes english) reads the cards, and looks the words up in a book. He then copies the symbols next to them onto cards, and pushes them through a slot so they go outside the box. He does not know chineese. The box does nto know chineese. The book is just data. Yet... the box has the intelegence to translate. Or does it ? Is there any inteligence there ? (other than the philosopher). To take it a step further.. (now I'm being creative) if the world is the box, and the we are following directions to do what we do in the box... then are we intelegent ? And if like the box, we are not... Then we're nto real. Where G-d fits into all this I do not know.

God works in mathematics. The number 5, I believe. Do you know the further out the (this) universe expands, it moves faster? It's accelerating. God says "You-all come back here, ya hear?"

okay, i try not to think about the boxes. here's why. right now, i believe there's a god, kinda. but not really a heaven or hell. but even if it is, i believe you should get in according to intentions, not how much you fuck up. if you weren't taught correctly what's good/evil, who is ANYONE to judge you? or even more importantly, pronounce sentence? that's not fair to you... BUT. if god really is anal, i'm screwed. and i'm pretty sure everyone else in the world is too. because i try to do well, but i sometimes go against the grain knowingly. and who cares? okay, i'm rambling now, i'll stop

okay, here's what i MEANT. if there's no god, i'm okay, because then there probably isn't a heaven or hell. but if there IS, i'm living a pretty good life, but maybe not good enough. and eternal damnation is pretty scary. but not scary enough to turn me to religion. after all, which one is right? what happens to those who don't know of god? the bible says that those who don't will be judged fairly. but i've heard of him and so far kinda rejected him. which equals eternal damnation. even if i'm leading a good life, and doing good. where's the justice in that? unless god is really just a personification of all good... then i may be okay... oh well
