I am tired of people saying "thats not natural" I mean like gm food and all that.
But if a dog (if it could) changed the genetic structure of a potato; people would just say its just something they do,"its natural."
Is that people think humans are un-natural

humanity is the best known way in which to clear planets of irritating 'natural' flora and fauna. Humans were 'dropped' here by interstellar real estate agents itching for new property.

the latter usually results in the extinction of a species(which tree huggers claim is unnatural).

You are only telling half the truth. The tree huggers are preserving nature, not changing it to the point of being unnatural.

Humans are slobs. Face it. We go somewhere, use it up and move elsewhere. Until the time that humans as a group can preserve nature, then we are on our way to our own destruction.

We've got a pretty good start towards fucking up the earth irrepairably. If everyone thought like that, lostmind, that nature would find a way to get rid of us, then whether nature does or not, we lose.

We don't have a chance in hell of fucking up this world permanantly. We can make it so polluted that HUMAN life will not exist here but life will survive.

"Tree huggers" aren't just saving the trees. They are indirectly saving you.

I'm pretty certain that if the Florida panther became extinct, it wouldn't adversely affect the human population. That's not why people try to save them, though..

Personally, I'd like to see whatever species are in an area given a chance to survive if that survival wouldn't adversely affect human populations. Yes, we are at the top of the food chain, but there's no reason to snuff things out if there's no need. I wouldn't strap myself to a tree in protest or something, though..

Nature is a generalization for the physical world. Its opposite is Spirit. The two combined are inseparable and constitue reality. The Yin/Yang is a old symbol of this. Reality for us is caused by the impact of spirit on nature when we are born. Different things have varying levels of the 2 in them. Ghosts posses almost total spirit, rocks are near entire nature.
The imbalance caused at this particular place in time and space(earth, yr 2001) is a proccupation with nature.(greed, lust, ego)The cosmic forces that govern the universe will invariably balance in time.
