Religion of the Ignorant.
Christianity is the religion of the ignorant because everyone who follows it has not read the Bible. I used to be very religious, I used to go to church every day and when I was in primary school, I served at the alter. In the height of my holiness, I read the Bible and it told me the truth: The moon is a burning ball of gas, the sun revolves around the Earth, people used to live to 800 years of age and other numbers like that even though they didn't have the nutrition that people nowadays have. I find something else a bit confusing: ''And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.'' ''And Seth lived an hundred and five years''. Isn't changing your story the same as lying? I'm not finished the book of Job yet, (I've got to the bit where all the sores break out on his body), but my friend told me that it says that it's not okay for women to wear pants, they have to wear dresses. In the story of the angel of death and the watching angel, the watching angel (I forget their names) convinced the angel of death that it wasn't okay to kill in the name of God. God got angry and sent the two angels onto the land below (meaning that heaven is in the clouds), the angels aren't allowed back into heaven ever again and when the apocalypse comes, they have to stay outside the gates of heaven for all eternity. They could just go to another planet but since it's the religion of the ignorant, there are no other planets. In this story we learn that killing in the name of God is okay. So if any Muslims come near you, fuckin' rip their throat out, God won't mind.

Re: Religion of the Ignorant.
passage references please.
i've never heard of the bible describing the moon as a burning ball of gas.
didn't the states of matter get classified only recently(in history that is).
so to think that a very primitive people would even assume that something is made of gas is insane.
and as the sun revolving around the earth, wasn't it galileo who proved otherwise,
and lived his life out in jail for it.
way back when, years were based on 10 months of 30 days.
so it's only natural to assume that ages would be greater.
900 years is a little extreme, but you have to fit it into 7,000 years of earth history,
2,000 from adam to noah 2,000 from noah to jesus 2,000 from the birth of christ to the second coming 1,000 the millenium of peace where jesus rules the earth.
sometimes people have to reach ridiculous ages to fit the story.
don't just read what people write.
know why they wrote it like they did.
and compare stories with other cultures unrelated,
and you will find startling similarities.
and if you follow some controversial theories that civilization recieved a kick start from extra-terrestials who were misinterpreted as gods by primitive man.
then gods coming from the sky is not ridiculous, or the setting up as earth as a penal colony for exiled "angels", including lucifer.
and you'll also see that hercules being half man and half god,
muhammed being half man and half god,
amen-ra being god in the flesh of man,
jesus being the son of god,
kukulkhan impregnating a woman to start the divine dynasties of the mayans, incas, and aztecs, also half man half god,
then you'll also see a very profound biblical passage;
"the sons of 'god' looked upon the daughters of man"
didn't the hebrew god have only one son,
who most jews don't even think has been born yet?

Re: Religion of the Ignorant.
quote: i've never heard of the bible describing the moon as a burning ball of gas.
Sorry, I shouldn't have put it that way but the Bible did say that the sun was made of the same thing as the moon. Even though people didn't know that the Earth revolved around the Sun when the Bible was made, the writer shouldn't have said that the Sun revolved around the Earth. The Bible is the word of God and you should believe and follow the word of God without question (or be turned into a pillar of sand). quote: Blessed is Pyros Yon Leprechaun, his is the kingdom of heaven.

Re: Religion of the Ignorant.
Yes Pyros, your right. Christianity is an ignorant's religion because we don't read the bible. But then people who read the bible and take it seriously, much like you seem to do, look even more stupid. That's why in the catholic religion, we teach us that the bible shound't be taken literaly, and that it's all writen in the form of paraboles that teach the way of god.
