look at all these bastards telling people to plant a love seed of $50.00 a month so that god will pay them back 10 fold. they pledge drive 24-7 not just to stay on the air like PBS but to put money into there off shore bank accounts. i need to start my TCT affiliate so i can cash in.

I've never heard about TCT but I think that anybody who promises the good will of God if you give them money is a fucking liar. I can't believe that some people have the nerve to even try to say what you should do to make God happy. If you really want to go to heaven, you're better off sending your money to some poor kid in Africa instead to some preacher in the US so that he can buy a second private jet.

well i think if a person considers themselves christian, they would also think that they are wrong in god's eyes for attempting to buy themselves into heaven.

i also hate how when some good christians make a big show out of doing something for somebody. If you are doing good only to help somebody, that's fine, but when you do it only for recognition, that is wrong. I have heard that one should help everyone and tell no one.

but as far as the poor kids in africa, does anyone remember the expose they had several years back? bags and bags were found going to waste in warehouses and rats were getting into it, instead of it getting to the needy kids.

not that i am a christian. i could never be a christian. even if i believed in it, i couldn't be one. all the hypocrittes have ruined it for me. I forget who in totse summed it all up in one word, but i really liked it:

you know the type- the ones always using the bible to beat you down. using the bible to interpret anything they disagree with, any way they want.Mostly hiding behind it. they do no wrong, but if you don't live by their rules, you are going straight to hell.

and alot of people are really mean, but they think just because they are in the front row of church come sunday morning that they are perfect. i grew up around that shit.it still upsets me as an adult.

This dates back to Catholisism. I am a Christian. and i do in no way believe that giving money to an already rich organization will save your soul. i LIVE by pat robertson. he lives down the street from me. i have watched his show before. NEVER has he garunteed that one's should would be saved if they contribute to his cause. BUT that in no way means that i am supporting or defending him. he is a poor example of a Christian, i believe. he lets his great wealth own him rather than the other way around, and has become somewhat greedy. his company, rather than being run as pure and holy as a bussiness can these days, he manages it so he can accumulate the most money.

Why do all these people like to quote the bible and say that that is the only way to interpret things. The King James version of the bible is exacly that, a bible written by King James. Meaning that this guywho rewrote the bible a few thousand years after it was created probably put his own spin on it meaning that the bible is worthless as a testament of god unless you revere King James. Look at the Jews and the Muslims, they got a good idea going by getting only one copy of the bible. The jews have the torah that is written in Hebrew and that hasn't changed a word since 4000 years ago. The muslims have a Coran written like poetry in arabic that hasn't changed since 700 A.D. Why can't we get the same thing for the christian religions.
