My God Can Beat the Shit Out of Your GodFor discussing any and all religious viewpoints. Intolerance will not be tolerated. Keeping your sense of humor is required. Posting messages about theological paradoxes is encouraged.
I think that we may not be viewing religion for what it is: a creative art. Myths offer symbolic explanations of the Mysterious Ineffable- approaches to aspects of it. But can any one religion own the truth?
Can the mind of a human being really comprehend the vastness of Deity? Many seem to think so. And religious extemists around the world are ready to fight, kill and persecute for their "truth."

Re: Masks of God
true since religion as unerstateable made some excellent art in the past thousands of years or so. Rilgion is the outer sphere of earth and science is the spere inside. What do you expect with a over 3,000+ book. I believe the stories because the people who wrote it wanted god to prolly sound huge and powerfull but the stories that started out were not of a grand extent. I'm sure some are true and some are not. Just a little book can not hold the vast majority of religion that's out there. Every religion was the same till god cast the humans across the world with different languages in the tower of babal. So actually in budhism you could think that could've been a major part of the religion thousands of years ago. So if ya think about it maybe the man in budha is god and he strove to perfection and became god, made the heavens, earth etc. Many people i talk to say that is for us not to know. I ask them why? and they have no answer, it's fine if ya believe that way but it makes ya stronger and more open person i think.
