Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

That doesn't make much sense. Hearing someone doesn't impose the belief on someone.

You don't "force" your beliefs on others unless you actually us force (i.e. a gun, a knife, a gulag archipelago, etc.) to do so. Simply yelling things isn't forcing your beliefs on others, because they can still decide you're a moron.

freedom of speech... something tells me you don't really know what that is??? in north america we have these rights. jsut like freedom of expression.( if u dont like it dont listen or watch) if u dont like what a person has to say thats your opinion, you can choose weather to keep it to yourself or push it on them as they are doing to you.
therefore this recipricates. adn you're doing to them what u didnt like in the first place so does this make your view right?? in this new age we have many freedoms but are we really free? to some extent yes but we will always have one hand inthe shackle.

I'm going to have to censor you for taking the Lord's name in vain. This is for the good of the general population, whose aural autonomy you just violated. And we do have moral standards to enforce, you know.
*censors self for colloquial use of "you know"*

Maybe ardene has no problem with expletives but a phobia of the words "swears"

If you want to see the state of free speech in America, look at the reaction to Trent Lott's comments.

Exactly. Others have a constitutionally assured right to verbally pogo up and down on Trent's career because he cocked up a compliment
