Although they do have a few privileges, I'm sure they would rather have their country back.

I believe my ansestors were wrong in how they took the land but that has been many years ago and there really isnt a way to rectify this problem than to learn to live with one another the best we can.

2)Legally they are citizens - yet seem to suffer a lot from racism and there's the problem of massive suicide rate, but that's not a legal issue, it's a sociological issue.

3)Given that the Colonists ahd ZERO respect for the "barbarian" Natives, it is unlikely they made any tally of casualties on the Indian side. Also, there was countless unregistered massacres and skirmishes - so it is probably impossible to give an accurate figure - and who needs guesses?

First of all, the native american thing was a long time ago, there is little use in lamenting about it right now.
Second of all chuckie boy, you seem to have a very elitist view of this because you are not american. It was English people for hundreds of years who were killing native americans. Many times it was English-trained millitary personel coming over here and doing the slaughter.
This was no less true in Englands several other colonial possessions. The Aboriginees (I appologise for my spelling) in Australia were driven off cliffs by english soldiers. Although to a much smaller extent than the lowest parts of the american continent, Native americans were slaughtered for years in Canada, or forced to move more north to places where no one wanted to live. In india, forced religious conversions were the pick of the day (many involving horrible torture).
No western-european country / North american country deserves to be venerated for their sins against the previous owners of the land they [used to] occupy and/or own. England is not much worse than the US.
So seriously ChuckStone, the only reason that you sit on that high moral horse is that your people no longer live on the land that you slaughtered for, those countries have split off into their own countries.

Yes HomerJay. You are correct, which is the reason I hate the English too (the fuckers are everywhere around here). I must however point out that the guys who murdered the indians were your ancestors, while MY ancestors were the ones BEING persecuted by the English. Although not as recently as the Reds.

Your comment about England being "not much worse than the US" is not true, they are much worse than the US - or at least WERE worst than the US ARE, if you catch my meaning. Yes the English used to kill Aboriginees for sport, and I think the colonists only killed for war. PLUS the English wacked the Zulus and the real Indians too.

But our imperialist days are gladly over but for a few principalities which are subsequently only populated by Brits anyway (Falklands and Gibraltar) and we can't get rid of Gibraltar if we wanted to (and we do).

You see MY people (as in the people I am descended from) have never fought the Indians - although some of them have fought the English. (the South Welsh often migrated to places like Sheffield and Newcastle due to the similarity of the 3 areas)

My ancestors were off in Italy during the entirety of the "indian" wars, and who gives one tenth of a shit what someone's ancestors did? You should never be judged by the crimes of your father, only by the crimes of yourself.

This brings up the point that the US is commiting crimes right now, and for that I am truly sorry, because as a minor, I am doing everything I can to see that the US crimes stop.

To solve this problem, I propose we start a utopia on some secluded pacific island. (If we kill off all the natives, we should be able to live in peace)
