Israeli nuclear capabilities
Israel is the biggest threat to the middle east and all those in favour of peace. It has nuclear capablities and a large nuclear arsenal, the US should send weapon inspectors there rather than iraq if they are really serious about making pecae in the region.
Some proof of israeli nuke capablities: http://www.iaea.or.at/GC/gc43/documents/gc43-8.html http://www.fas.org/news/israel/980714-israel1.htm http://www.us-israel.org/jsource/UN/unga42_44.html

Yeah, I'm with Nox. Its not the fact that a nation has nuclear weapons that makes them a danger, its the fact that they have the weapons and are unstable.

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
The Israelis have about 100 nuclear warheads. Has Israel used a nuclear weapon at any point in it's history? The possession of nuclear weapons doesn't make a country a threat, for the most part nuclear weapons are a paper-tiger seeing as how no state is willing to use them at this point in time. Do you think a terrorist group would hesitate to use a nuclear weapon if it acquired one? They are the real threats to middle east stability, as well as the fanatical muslim massed who are for now kept in check by dictators.

Has anyone else thought that the reason that the US has not campained to get weapons inspectors into israel to clear out the nukes is because WE GAVE THEM THE FUCKING WARHEADS?!?!?!!! Do you think they got 100 nukes by going to K-mart???

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
No. They got them by stealing them from the US.
Specifically, LAKAM agents infiltrated a nuclear plant in the US, learned how to convert gaseous uranium hexafluoride into enriched uranium, and purchased the raw materials from an American Jewish businessman---then had them shipped to Tel Aviv under the auspices of "pasteurization through irridation research"...while FBI agents watched the whole thing happen.
The US didn't give the weapons to Israel, but Israel cleverly manipulated the US into a position where it could to nothing to stop them. Over one hundred pounds of fissionable material was shipped to Dimona and the Israelis put it to good use.

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
That asshole Jewish businessman headed PUMA shoes. He was friends w/ the Isreali PM. Yes they did receive the capability from the U.S. Now with nuclear power they command a respect in that region. They recently bombed a Palestinian food shelter for which they received no backlash. They continue to receive large amounts of money and weapons from the U.S, as they have the strongest and most powerful lobby in Washington. We need to stop playing favorite sides and use common sense in that region. Thier spies are heavily invested into top U.S. cabinets and companies. OUT>

For reference, the bottom floor of the building was the food shelter but the top floors were where the Isreali's claimed that the terrorists were operating. Given the nature of the war and the tactics of the enemy, this is a possibility.

It most definately is a stable country. Has an Israeli government ever been overthrown? Has there ever been a coup? What are you talking about when you say that it isn't stable?

Yea they are more of a threat than all the groups /people you mentioned, they have nuclear warheads, none of the others do, they are the only ones who declared they would use them if needed, none of the others even have nukes to balance this threat, so for stability in the region israel should be taken out.

Yes but anyone who possess nuclear weapons will use them if needed. Weren't they built for that purpose? Remember that the atom bomb is meant to be a war weapon and therefore should be used in this context.

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
exactly, nuke has the right idea, israel is not a threat to the US but poses a much greater threat to the middle east than other ppl/groupd do to the US.
Even so if nukes are made to be used , why can israel have them and iraq not? double standards of the US....ok for their allies but not for their enemies, these double standards are held by the US and their puppets the UN.

That seams like a logical view to have on Weapons of mass destruction.

If the UN was a puppet, wouldn't they have agreed right away to a war on Iraq?

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
All that resolution did was say that inspectors will go back to Iraq. Several memebers of the security council had complaints about the wording of it, hoping to prevent a hidden trigger in it that the US could use to attack.
And Syria abstained

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
Regardless of what it said, Bush spent some time trying to convice the other countries to pass it. This wouldn't be nessacary if the UN was a puppet. Also If it was a puppet why would they go with inspections. It would be simpler to just tell us we can invade.

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
Yes they are a bigger threat then all those things nox mentioned, and that is because THEY STARTED THE WHOLE PROBLEM. Without Israel there would not be the state of political unrest in the Middle East. The Palestinians would have their own state and Iraq would not be threatening to blow up Israel again. They are unstable and at any moment could have coup, where some Jewish fundamentalist would come to power and decided to kill the Palestinians. This would cause World War Three. Israel should not have nukes if we dont allow countries like Iraq have nukes since they both are unstable.

Great comment, Bravo, 100% correct. And syria did not abstain they actually voted in favour of the resolution, all the arguing over the resolution was a show for the public to prove that hte UN is not a puppet, yes there may have been som disagreements but even if the US attacked Iraq , there would not be a coalition made to liberate iraq as there was in the gulf war and no one would interfer against the US. In this world Money=Power, the US has a lot of money thus it has alot of power over smaller and poorer nations.

I assume that the 'they' you talk about are the Jews. We will give you an opportunity to play King for a Day. Today you are King and the Today is right after World War Two. Europe is a shambles, the Jews have been removed from their homes in Europe and shipped off. Not all of them were exterminated in the camps. The homes and property that the Jews had in Europe has been confiscated and the new owners have absolutely no intention of returning "their" newfound property to the former owners. Now Mr. King, how are you going to solve this problem? It is very easy to sit back and criticize the solutions of others. What is your solution? Nox

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
Place U.N. Peacekeepers in the regions where both sides have attacked eachother. All those retaliations ie: deaths & mass destruction should have been prevented if the U.N. wasnt impotent. Isreal did not allow interevention due to so-called soverein status. Ass kisser Colin Powell or Bush were swayed to ignore this situation. Whats been demonstrated is that U.S. China Europe and Russia fail to rise to worldly occassions. Its also apparrent there is no sincere effort to stop this...It is afterall a way to pass legislation/appropriations/loans/laws/agendas benefiting interests of all parties involved. Whats dangerous is what goes thru unnoticed or hidden. The monetary policies of globalization have now given the ruling class the upper hand that they need in controlling everything & everyone. REAL Wars are being fought with finances. These "financial wars" are ultimately what will lead to WW3 or similar. There cannot be peace without justice. These injustices are being waged daily in offices lined with the finest furniture & communications equipment available w/ plaques and titles declaring thier roles as such. The devil walks among us OUT>

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
In 1945 the intention was to control the middle east as it was a strategic area, not just because of the oil but it would serve well as a military base for the allies in case of a war with the soviets, So placing a jewish state would create problems in the area and would serve well as a base for the british.

What would be the purpose of sending weapons inspectors to Israel? Israel admits it possesses nuclear weapons, it's official policiy is no first-nuclear-strike. Perhaps you think they may give their nukes to some anti-american terrorists?

Isreal is a good country i would trust them with weapons. People there walk around with weapons without flashing them or killing one another for something small. I respect that. Why cant any others do the same?

Re: Israeli nuclear capabilities
Just to put a couple of things straight.
1) Isreal was not created by the US after WWII, it was created by the British, and was under british military control for a while. the fault therefore lies with us and not the US.
2) Israel was not aided by any particular country in gaining their nuclear weapons, but, as it suited the security council to have a strong ally nation in the region, many people turned a blind eye.
3) Israel's capability is estimated to be less than 50 missiles, most of the intermediate range, and the rest short range, along with approximatly 250 gravity bombs, with sizes lying between 2 and 550 kilotonnes.
How do I know all this? Becuase I spend all day reseaching nuclear weapons for my dissertation.
This is my personal opinion: first, I don;t believe Israel show ever have been created. No one ever asked the palistinie people if they would give their land away, it was taken. When this happened in Bosnia, there was a public outcry. When this happens in palistine, no one really gives a damn, becuase the "towel heads" will just learn to deal with it.
Israel is not lead by very nice people. a former premier was found guilty by an israeli court of mass murder, then exonerated. 6 years later, he was in power.
Netenurhu was another leader that, as a former major of the special forces, ordered all asssistance to be given to the 1979 christian uprising that lead to over 500 palistinian deaths. Once again, within 15 years he was in power.
This is the question I wish to ask:
many people try to defend them, and some do it well. So why doesn;t the defence happen to all other countries.
Iraq used to be bigger. In fact, it used to own kuwait, and for hundreds of years. In the 50's Kuwait was taken off iraqi ( Another feat of genuis on the part of us british) So why did we make war on the poor bastards when they try to do exactly what isreal is doing?
Another question: What will you all be saying if tommorrow Israel decides to go it alone, and sheds the blanket that america gives it. a year later, they decide that america is the world bully that every one else thinks it is. you now have a very clever, very resourceful country, with nuclear weapons, and weapons paid for out of your own taxes, gunning for you.
I would ask each of you who have posted in this topic to go back, read what you have posted, then reconsider if the situation is as I have described.
What will be your responses?
