I watch TV and read the paper, and I see one thing in both mediums.

Israel asskissing.

No one in America will bring up the fact that in order to make Israel, we, the UN, forced millions of people in palestine into camps and put Jews there.

That is why everyone over there hates us. and that is why they hate israel

We must right our wrong and give the land we stole back.

Israel has no right to exist, and thus I have little sympathy for them when the people under their boots bomb them.

Israel must be stopped. NOW.

That is true, but I sincerely find it to be hypocracy that we dictate foreign policy on religion and claim to be the most secular nation in the world.
It says all over in our founding documents that we are to keep state and religion seperate, thus I think we should do that.

I could care less about the Palestinians. Exile them to Siberia.

At least several places within Jerusalem and Israel are considered holy, and by three religions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism. In a sense they all want to declare it their own, as Christians tried with the Crusades, etc.

I still doubt that the holyness is the main reason for USA�s support to Israel. It�s more because of how Israel came to be, and because of the "collective guilt" the western world has towards the Jewish people.
Israel is now and again heavily critizised by other western nations, and by USA, but if USA were to put real pressure on Israel, or stop their support entirely, there would be an outrage of gigantic proportions!

Recent history has proven that states that have come to be in "faulty" ways - as Mr Marx talks about above - could be "corrected". The former Soviet Union and its satelite states in eastern Europe, is now adjusted back (aproximately) to the time before the Soviet era. Adjustments that were supported by a vast majority in the UN. So it can be done.

But in the case of Israel they wouldn�t dare to try it. Not even if a majority believed it would solve ALL the problems in the middle east.

I don't agree with Marx, or the rest of you.
Israel has a right to exist, they should have some of that land, because it is holy.
But you can't create a holy area like that by forcing people off their land and putting them into camps!!!!
That soils the entire point.
They should have created Israel, but they should have given the palestinians just compensation for their stuff before moving Jews in there.
