Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Italy sucks now? Why, because it's not the seat of an empire anymore? It's culture may be diluted by euro-crap merchandising but it's still a great country.

How many invaders have raped it since the Roman Empire? How many governments has it had since World War II alone?

If anyone has ever seen a statue of any Roman youd understand Alan is wrong. If i could post pictures, that would be the end of this.

But since Alan, you insist the statues were carved by artists who unconciously let their idea that "Beautiful" and "Noble" = "Nordic" (Dont ask me how they believed this unless the aristocrats were Nordic anyway), I will go through my Seutonius book on the Caesars and the other annals of Imperial Rome. I recall reading Sulla had light gray eyes and reddish hair. Others fit Nordic descriptions, but that one stood out.

Your evaluation of a country's greatness is it's defence/political track record? You must be a lot of fun to travel with.

I have that Idea because the artists were greek slaves and the greek nobility was nordic, Ie the dorians. The most common defining feature of the roman nobility was the Aquiline nose, This has been proven time and again by forensic archeology in adendum to contemporary comentary of the period.

It says 'IM Avenge Mussolini' in the homepage field.

Does it mean that 'Avenge Mussolini' is your IM handle? or just a poorly punctuated statement?

btw. He deserved to be hung for his arrogance alone.

All I get out of it, is that you respect the tenets of fascism.

I don't know why the M and A are capitalized and why it was placed in your homepage field.

Maybe I'm (IM) only imagining some non-existant subtleties and you're just a fascist that uses bad grammer.

Because IM isnt the easily recognized shortened way to communicate "Instant Message", is it?

Just went through Suetonius' "Twelve Caesars" and Tacitus' "The Annals of Imperial Rome" and didnt find a single physical description of the men discussed. The cover of "The Twelve Caesars" however, has a picture of some bas relief with 3 guys standing around on it, and they all have very Nordish facial features.

And Alan, Im Mediterranean. I used to think Rome was a Mediterranean thing too. No one wants to believe Rome was Mediterranean more than me, but the evidence isnt there. All I have to do is look at a statue of a Caesar to know he is not of my people.

What, you think tacitus and Suetonius were the only people that put stylus to tablet? If you read scipio's accounts he refers to the Roman training of men as being the main factor of romes military success as he puts it, "the spainyards are stronger than us the greeks are smarter than us the germans are taller than us and the gauls are more numerous than us."
I direct your attention primarily to him noting the physical differences between himself and his group to that of the germanic peoples. There are other sources but none that I know by heart.

Beyond this The skulls of the patritians when examed and reconsructed often posses the aquiline nose.

A high rooted, high bridged nose with a visible beginning of the cartilage and end of the skull is part of the definition of a common Nordic face. Aquiline noses fall into this category.
There are shorter groups of Nordic people. There are brunette groups of Nordic people too. There was even a tribe of black-haired Celts in ancient Europe too.

hate to burst your bubble, but skull dimensions have nothing to do with greatness. in fact some of the Roman rulers were pretty sick people to be ruling nearly one quarter of the wolrds population
