The American citizen members should be hanged for treason. The Mexican citizens living in Mexico should be treated as subversives, saboteurs, and spies and be assassinated, and the Mexican citizens living in America should be laughed at for their hypocrisy and weakness, have their children sterilized, then by flayed alive.

Uhh... defiant. While I admit not knowing much about this group, it seems logical that the members would be descendents of the mexican families that lived in the area when it was taken by the US 150 or so years ago. Besides that, they're probably a small minority, similar to the Texans who want to secede from teh union.

No actually there a fairly powerful organization and have clout enough that grey davis apointed several of the leaders into his cabinet. It is because of members of this organization at the higher echelons of the LAPD that it has standing orders not to cooperate with the INS.

Yes, and some groups are fighting hard to get it back. (whether they are justified in doing so is another question.)

Why would anyone assume this organization is The families of people who lived in the southwest before America conquered them, or some shit like that?
