Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Maybe that's why there was an echo...

FUNERAL FOR THOMAS
Timothy Thomas, 19, who was shot while fleeing a police officer, will be buried Saturday following a church service in Over-the-Rhine, the neighborhood where most of the rioting occurred.

Thomas was killed last Saturday as he fled a white officer, Stephen Roach, who was trying to arrest him for failing to appear for misdemeanor charges and traffic violations. Roach, 27, has been placed on leave. Roach has not commented, but his union said he feared for his life during the encounter.

Four black men have been killed by police since November. Three were shot and one died of asphyxiation while being arrested, resulting in charges against two officers.
Hamilton County prosecutors plan to present evidence in Thomas' death to a grand jury next week. The U.S. Justice Department and the U.S. attorney's office in Cincinnati have joined the FBI in federal investigations.

Mfume, who met with Thomas' mother and visited the spot where he was killed, urged more than 300 people at a town meeting Thursday evening to use their anger constructively.

"We are all angry, but we've got to sit down and say, 'What do we do tomorrow?' If there's no plan, there's no progress," Mfume said.

Many of the speakers at the NAACP's town meeting demanded an overhaul of the police department. Luken told NBC's "Today" show that the rioting clearly shows "there are deep racial divisions in this city. It says there is a lack of trust. It says there is no context to deal with these issues."

Tell the whole story dude.

Those are from a local television station in Cincinnati. But as pointed out before, they apparently don't tell the whole story.

Please disregard or discount them as you deem necessary.
