Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
I don't think anarchy is feasible, just look at the most primative form of government we have... Our family structure. Mother, father, brother, and sister. In a typical social context the mother and the father, are on the top. I think we are genetically trained to form groups. And once groups are formed they get bigger, and need better ways of management. Just think of all of the psycological problems people have while being isolated. The only thing that would be probable would be like bongman was saying, in the other post he linked to, would be mindwashing at birth. This seems pretty good but that would required an established system and hence some form of government. Which wouldn't be an anarchy. Bongman's idea sounds more like the borg collective. I call this hive style government. In my personal opinion benevolent dictatorship would be one of the best options. Unfortunatly this system has major draw backs when that dictator dies.
Hey an idea:
How about you elect me for the supreme ruler of the world? You know there is free beer in it. Imported from wherever you want, how about it? And almost forgot about the weed, i can't forget about the free weed. yes i will legalize it.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
i don't think anarchy is feasable, i'm all against government, at least usa's current form of, but it would be great if there weren't so many jackasses in the world that make it necessary to have laws in the first place.
people for millenia have had to be told that murder is wrong and it still goes on today. if we could live without interfering in other's peoples lives and other not interfere in ours than anarchy would be legitimate.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
ok...since i dont know how i just deleted everything i just typed for this topic in the last 15 mintues i will hafta summorize quick
anarchy-good idea....wont work....too many stupid people....many people do not have what we like to call common sense....you cant kill people...stop trying...there are too many people who could grasp life without rules...i mean shit..we cant even play by the rules in a fucking game...how would it work if we let the mindless sheep out in a big playing field we like to call america...i support it...it would be good for intelligent people like ourselves but not for the rest of the world...want to try...do what harrison ford did in some movie i saw...go to like africa or some other third world country and buy and town or something
(true) democracy- ahhahahahaha...and you think anarchy doesnt work...now imagine not only basically stripping our federal government of all power but worse...giving it to people out on the streets..i mean...we cant even get everyone to vote every four years for a president....imagine trying to get everyone to vote for every law...not only is it damn near impossible...but we'd be giving people who cant even speak fluent english power to decide what we should live like....no please..
there is no good government....communism...no...monarchy/feudalism...yeah, that worked well in the middle ages...anyway...live under the government you were born under because obviously its wokred for 200 years so the stupid clinging fools dont wanna change it...learn about your government....learn loopholes...learn to live as easy as possible...use every law to its extent...form a militia (im working on it)...
basically...keep america how it is because the stupid, simple minded fools we breed arent capable of living under this system much less any other system....
final conclusion: america sucks and good governments dont work because of stupid people

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
I dont think its too much stupid people who would ruin a system. Its a combination of people who are being driven by their own personal gains, and people who don't know any better than to follow these people; these are the stupid people that you refer to. Stupid people if let to themeselves would do much period. Now add a power hungry asshole into the mix and thats when you start having some problems. And when some people get new power, they tend to go overboard for a little while. So then again it is dependant on how the leader preaches to his people, that determines the outcome of a person's leadership.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
I'm not sure all of you could handle an anarchist system.
First of all, anarchy is impossible to retain: Without law, brute force would rule creating a caste system (people who had muscle and people who had money to hire it (Note: the gov't makes your money)). To combat dying/mugging/losing everything you own to a big guy, people would band together into small society's which would have relations with others of their kind...
I think I can stop now, if you don't get it... well...

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
but the only reason we can handle our government is because we dont have to do anything besides pay taxes...we dont even have to vote (which i think is absurd but its irrelevant in the topic)...even though there are no laws in anarchy there is something called the majority....i quote my good friend merriam in:
Main Entry: anarchism Pronunciation: 'a-n&r-"ki-z&m, -"nr- Function: noun Date: 1642 1 : a political theory holding all forms of governmental authority to be unnecessary and undesirable and advocating a society based on voluntary cooperation and free association of individuals and groups 2 : the advocacy or practice of anarchistic principles
there will be free groups that will uphold law and order...sadly i will say that it will be related to relegion which would essentially become government...but sacrifices must be made....
i realize more and more that nobody supports anarchy because they are afraid of losing their "rights" which they so arrogantly demand and fight for (yet pass legislature that chips away at some of those rights)..but you realize that none of your rights matter if your dead and by letting the population (and frankly the government) run around killing people really makes you realize that you have to rights because there is a fucking loophole to everything
enough

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
Privo-Ktulu,
It seems you are making a lot of rash decisions about people. On your webpage (yes, i took the time to read it.. *sigh*) you say you don't like people judging you. Please make informed responses and stay away from things like "the only reason we can handle our government is because we dont have to do anything besides pay taxes" which if you looked into it is entirely not true. If all everyone did was pay taxes we would be more like 17th century Britain.
You appear very angry at everyone... why?

With anarchy, I doubt people would support others rights. I don't trust people to not kill and steal from each other.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
ah i just get all crzzy sometimes...my webpage is pure boredem....it did that all in one week out of sheer boredem because i couldnt move cause i landed with my back straight along a rail in the summer....but if you think about what else do we really have to do to live in america some people just live off the system...its sick...
i am angry at the general population....why...one...at the local hot topic (in the mall...i am a full supporter of the bomb-all-malls program) they sell anarchy shirts, patches, (cologne?!?!?!!!) and whatnot....people buy these things and stick them on everything to look cool and be fucking hip....i go up to people and ask them what the A means and theyre like "anarchy" so i ask them what is anarchy and the average response is "like chaos and blowing shit up" and stupid babble along lines like that....its become a joke...its no better than the carbon copy clones that a&f and old navy produce...its sick to see people just buy things like that...its so fucking disrespectful...i dont understand why when people tell me all the reasons that anarchy is stupid and then when i tell them all the things wrong with the american republic they just think its all wrong...its sick...evryone is so deluded and safe from harm in their own little veneer that not everyone....you guys are cool...you guys are open to opinions and are not judgemental...and im not that judgemental...i will talk to anyone about anything its just that when i write shit here i just use personal experience...
bongman, we dont suport each others rights now...the only difference is that it would be more pronounced...people kill and steal from each other everyday
im hungry.....way too often...maybe its the weed.....

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
A good site that covers anarchy and other ideas is http://www.blancmange.net/tmh/welcome.html I'm not sure if anarchy would work, definetly not now people would need to be educated and self-reliant for it to work. A gradual progression towards anachy would be the best form of implementation, but people mindsets would need change first and if they were than the slow process wouldn't be needed, a bit of a paradox. Sudden implementation would mean chaos for a period of time and the possible formation of a new goverment, and then it wouldn't be anarchy. Anarchy might be more of a utopian pipe dream, and couldn't really happen. The change needed is in the minds of people.

As the chief... uhh... administrator of the school of Jaded, I'm going to have to ask you to pay a $400 enrollment fee. Then there is a $125 equipment fee for a blank notebook, a pen and an octopus covered in shoe polish. And then there's a charge of $75 dollars for my time and effort in all this.

I realize this is an old topic, but I've just discovered that the virtual inhabitants of an alleged Anarchist site know very little about Anarch History. Go to WWW.infoshop.org There are interesting BURN links there.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
in the world today, anarchy isnt possible becuase there are to many greedy assholes and nuts who would exploit the non-existence of rules and go around killing and stealing from evryone........i think humanity has to reach the next stage of evolution and forget all this hate shit and just mellow out before any system vagly anarchistic in nature can work. free association would also probly be the core of anarchy becuase as sumone in this forum said before (sorry i cant remember shit, to much pot) we depend on the group becuase we are social creatures. but i believe that the diffrent classes in the group can be abolished with a little work. untiy and equality are the key.

Re: Anarchy; Feasable?
i agree comunism is a good thing to an extent, and if this was a perfect world then comunism would be the perfect government, but in this world the nearest we can get to this is to pay high taxes and using them to provide fre health care, housing, food and anything else that is needed for a comfatable life for the ppl that cannot afford them. and that is how it should be.
