Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Dammit, whats wrong with babbling?
The key to living in peace w/ the
government is to be cute and make
friends with one or two strategically
placed cops! Anarchy can work if we
all one at a time subtract ourselves
from society, you first! just kidding

Not on every detail of administration, that's why we have certain elected officials, to admin the day to day stuff. For all the major issues it should be individual votes that count not number of representatives or number of percentages in states who have point values based on total population with no relevance to actual voter turn out. A friend recently told me he thinks that if we can'y get a certain % of registered voters to vote we should have to re-trial the election. The politicians obviously weren't doing something right. I'm starting to think he's right, for at least something along those lines.

Trippy, I believe cthulu is a mythological God although I am not entirely certain which civilization its from I believe it is babylonian. From what I have read at a site which is now dead, the legend is that he was imprisoned in the sunken city of Rylek after the set of dieties to which he belonged, the old ones, lost a war with another set of deities, the elder ones. Much like the titans of ancient greek mythology who were imprisoned in the earth by zeus.

Behold my unsurpased grasp of the esoteric!

I happen to believe that America is the most functional government of today. I mean, corrupt and sadly <b> dysfunctional </a> but still the most functional. We have the best economic system, school systems, transportation systems, programs. It's not saying a lot, but it's definitely saying something.

Also, we have a kick ass army. From the Air Force to the Navy we kick ass. We've never lost a war, except Vietnam and that was a military action that we pulled out of because it was none of our Goddamn business to begin with.

My belief on Anarchy is expressed here:
http://www.angelfire.com/ca5/pollablanca/anarchy.html

and my belief on Communism is expressed here:
http://www.angelfire.com/ca5/pollablanca/communism.html

Both can be found on my website at http://www.angelfire.com/ca5/pollablanca/index.html

Enjoy

umm..

ok, what about healthcare?

thats just ONE example of how the american govt sucks ass..

The british government may be severly hampered by the existence of the National Health Service, but it's still kept going.. In england EVERYONE, regardless of age/social status, etc, can get (1) Totally free contraceptives (2) Totally free checkups/visits to general practitioners (3) Free emergency care/hospital care/surgery etc etc etc.. About the only thing you pay for in england is prescriptions, and then only if you're over 18, under 60 and do not suffer from a life threatening illness. In other words, reasonably healthy adults are the only ones who pay for their prescriptions, and for them, they pay a fixed price (usually about $8 per prescription)... My father, being Diabetic (a life threatening illness) doesn't have to pay for insulin, or any other medication at all, ever.

Here, you're lucky if you get ANYthing for free.. hell, just my contraceptive injection (which in england is always free - smart idea I think, you go to a doc, they give you contraceptives no questions asked, including condoms, less unplanned pregnancies etc) here costs about $75...

and that was just the first example that came to mind.. I'd suggest actually going and living somewhere else for a while, and then making claims like that.

Kate Moss?! Noamini who? Them girls is ugly. They got flat booties.

England has no ruling monarchy, chicken shit. The queen is like the hair on my ass - Just for show.

I think the english are tipped towards communism in how they regulate their country. They've certainly leaned way past simple socialism. No guns?!?!

as with jaded...im too lazy to tell you..and another thing that i hate that people do is ask why you think that [insert government here (anarchy, democracy, communisim)] and then want you to spill your entire set of ideas out to them and when you dont want to because they are so stupid as to think that jsut because you dont feel like telling their stupid ass everything you think about it so that they can just say "how unrealistic or how ...i think ill just print this out and hang it up on my wall and keep a copy to show to people why i believe in what i do.....

Right but thats what the song the thing that should not be is based on if youll look at my post necronomiconica in the music section. Cthulu his claws bound by the elder gods in the sunken city of rylek. "Stranger eons death may die" is almost a direct quote of an occult work I read under the title of the necronomicon.
