Every computer mouse i have had (5) breaks. First the pointer on the screen stops moving to one side when you move the mouse and then it just stops moving all together after a few days of the problem starting. Does anyone have problems like this with mouse and does anyone no how to fix it or why it happens? Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

It's a problem with the mouse right?

Try cleaning it, it could be a problem with the mat that you are using for your mouse. That the mat keeps dirtying it. It could also be a faulty mouse port. Try the following:
-cleaning it
-changing mouse pads
-trying it on another computer
-using adapters to change the port type

Got the right drivers installed?

Thanks, but it happens with every mouse, not straight away but after a period of say 5 weeks. How do you clean it?

Get an optical mouse. Theyre cheap now. I paid 19.99 for mine about a year ago and Im still doing well with it. The only problem I ever get with an optical mouse is when a little hair or someting gets caught in the little lens, and the mouse starts jumping around. But thats cured easily with a quick blow.
