| Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
be warned that the anti-terrorism act in the US or whatever its officially called talks about defacing websites and states such activity as terrorism. ARE YOU A TERRORIST!?!
Anyways... you should really learn about the entire web and how it works before bodly going off and defacing websites. Learn about CGI, HTTP, web servers and exploits. Its been said 1000 times before, google is a great research tool.
On the other hand, if do you deface a website, you are a moron.

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
Defacing a website is pretty fucking lame. All that will show is that you are a fucking script kiddy. I dont know if you know this or not but know in the USA you can get life in prison under the anti terrorism act. Its something to think about. And do you know how much work can go into creating a website? Find something more constructive to do.

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
all that aside, it has to be the easiest way to get a reputation. you screw up enough well known sites and maybe youll become a household name...
don't fuck on about the patriot act. that is a shit act that needs as much opposition as possible, and people threatening each other with it is just doing its job for it. everything is a fucking terrorist act under it, so try and give it as little credit as possible.

google will find anything you want it to, maybe you should stop putting "tripod" and "angelfire" into your searches... or alternatively LEARN TO USE A SEARCH ENGINE.

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
2 seconds on google: http://www.xinetica.com/tech_explained/general/hacking_dmz/wp_hacking_dmz.htm#3_3_attack_web_server http://www.securiteam.com/exploits/5KP02200KO.htm
and on another search http://rr.sans.org/win/IIS_vulnerabilities.php http://www.wwdsi.com/demo/saint_tutorials/http_IIS_access.html
and again, another search http://www.apacheweek.com/features/security-13
some of this stuff is specific and some is general. It all there, on google. Maybe you should read some docs on using a search engine.

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
Some people just have a nack for being able to find things.
Give me google.com and ask.com, i could find the anser to any problem in no time.
Its all about which words you choose to use, and how good you are at picking out usful sites from the short discriptor given.
Its not hard too do, just take practise, or that kind of mind.

you want proof eh? here are the actual google searches i did, i looked them up in my history. dont say i didnt tell you. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%2Bapache+%2Bvulnerabilities&btnG=Google+Search&meta= http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=%2BIIS+%2Bvulnerabilities&btnG=Google+Search&meta= http://www.google.ca/search?q=%2Btools+%2Bdownload+%2Bhacking+%2Bdeface+%2Bwebsite+%2Bhttp+%2Bexploit&hl=en&start=10&sa=N

Re: "hacking"/fucking up websites? . ?
you are mostly correct, in this case, the plus signs are not doing much, just the keywords that i chose. the minus sign really helps when you want to get rid of something, in your case:
-tripod -angelfire

I don't use those as keywords at all
I was merely making shitty examples of the web pages out there that suck.

tripod and anglefire suck, and you can't use a search engine.
Hahaha can't understand the logic in the plus and minus signs? It doesn't take a genius, buddy.
