honestly though, you can spend some time and become strongly familiar with computers like me

but if you would truly learn to become a real hacker...it isnt worth the amount of time you woudl have to put into more so the finding of what you need to learn than the actual consumption of information

but if you have way too much determination
read over a few programming books on visual basic (and basic), C++, Pascal, Java and html (deal with the internet) pick up books on OS (operating sources)

the library is your friend in that instance

and then ask detailed question such as if there are any ways to exploit backdoors and theories on internet weaknesses to people, even if online, that have become familiar to you

Err how can you not afford linux/unix..

Linux is free. It can be downloaded off the net. Just search and you shall find.

Or you could get a boook from the library, somethin like corel linux for dummies, it has a cd in the back. simple, and u dont need to spend a week downloading. plus then u get a full working manual to get yu started

is there a distrabution of UNIX thatll fit on a few 3 1/2" disks? i wanna get it for an old 486
