Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

you can d/l some (not all but alot) of the back orifice files from http://bo2k.homeip.net , low bandwidth, dialup, may not work all the time, but the best i can do for now, so use resumeable downloader, since www.bo2k.com went down i wanted to provide the files, here they are. i have encryption plugins, rattler, docs, silkrope, butt trumpet, botool, and bored. if anyone has any more news on what happend to www.bo2k.com i'd love to hear it.

I feel obliged to warn everyone that in all likelihood, the downloads from this guys website have been backdoored, probably with a bo2k server, just because it's delicously ironic. Course I could be wrong, but its a risk, and you can download the secure source from the sourceforge repository at http://sourceforge.net/projects/bo2k/ . I don't think it has the plugins for bo, but at least you can get the client program uncompromised...

Not that anyone will beleive me, but to put my cents in, i'd definantly not do that, BO has many uses, i cured a friends computer in auz from the choke worm using it, it would be quite hell on my reputation if i did that, you can do a crc32 and i'm sure it will be the same as the original files, indeed it would be ironic, but it would not be for the advancement of the community, yet i do think no-one should download any exe files without having the source, but till we can get a good compiler standard with windows we all have to be carefull, ttyl and thanks from everyone for the warning  quote:

its nothing personal man, what yer offering is in all probablity clean, but it's just generally not a good idea to download files from untrusted sources, and when they're trojans or otherwise slightly suspect files the danger increases exponentially, i figured it was just the best to let people know that there might be problems...
