 understand viruses???
As far as learning virus files goes, this is a definate start.
I recommend, strongly, gathering files on programming in Assembler, and grabbing the old VX (Virus) files in .ASM format to examine, thats how I learned.
The best place to get them is FTP://utopia.hacktic.nl/ - also make sure you get the [VCL] (Virus Creation Laboratory) which allows you to define your virus, and generates the .ASM code for you - you still need to compile it. Also worth a look is [NRLG] (Nuke Random Life Generator).
NOTE OF CAUTION:
Writting virus files may seem like fun, but they CAN cause a lot of problems and are illegal to compile in most countries. Be very careful around them - i'm not joking either.
