| Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

flamethrowers on....safety off...check...check....
lol
It takes more than that, try reading a bit, working on grammar, and general appearances, observe, a while, know whats up, and THEN ask for help.

God save him from the eternal flames, and it aint hell im talkin about.
Your gona Burn!
No one can teach you to Hack, if you want to hack then study computing. You cant hack without computer knowledge. Its the type of thing you can only teach yourself. Other hackers will only think the worst if you ask them to teach you to hack its nearly as bad as the will you hack hotmail password for me (No do it your fuckin self).
It is hard gettin going, but if you stick at it your get there.

LoL, you read and that's how you learn, you rarely ask people to hack, you learn yourself, I myself wouldn't trust teaching anyone, oh well.

Re: I need help from hackers
In theory you dont but it makes things allot easier if you can.
Learning how to program offers you much more than the ability to write software. It gives you a hole logical type outlook to computing. Everything seems simpler when you can program, you can understand what a piece of software is doing without seeing the code behind it.
Plus if you can program you can solve most problems yourself instead on relying on other peoples software which will only get you so far(Usually not far enought).

Re: I need help from hackers
yeah, a lot fo poeple think that programming and hack are simmilar cuz then as a "hacker" you could make stupid kiddy trojans and gain back door access. which is wrong. like viper said, its about understanding how things work behind the scenes to say. one can say they understand enough but with programming comes a higher sence of what different variables are put into a program, and in turn perhaps an os, and with that comes better understanding of vulnerabilites. it would also aid in cracking i believe. knowing ASM anyways, that way you could decompile aplications (i think there are omnyl ASM decompiliers, but i dont really know) and fidn what it is you need to know (such as the encryption used in a serial number)
i unfortunatly wasted too much time looking at VB and now am far behind. ive heard f python and will definitly be checking it out!

Re: I need help from hackers
Hacker:
1.) A person who is good at programming quickly.
2.) An expert at a particular program, or one who frequently does work using it or on it; as in "a {Unix} hacker".
3.) (Deprecated) A malicious meddler who tries to discover sensitive information by poking around. Hence "password hacker", "network hacker". The correct term is {cracker}.
4.) One who enjoys the intellectual challenge of creatively overcoming or circumventing limitations

Re: I need help from hackers
Ya i agree with the whole knowing how programs work after you learn to program. But start with something a little simpler like visual basic, or even c++. Once you understand how software works u realize why things give errors and why things work the way they do. I myself mentally run through possible sub-routines that could be taking place while i surf the web, but maybe im just wierd. And get off AOL, AOL will make you stupid. AOL is the one of the biggest steps in the dumbing of america. Once you get the idea of how computers work, switch your fucos to networking, and internet protocol, and read everything you can get your hands on. If you dont like to read, stop now because you will have to do alot of it. I started by looking on http://www.google.com for hacking text files. And dont listen to what other people tell you, most the time they are trying to screw you over, and have fun.

wtf? Never start off with Visual Basic, the code is so slack it will be harder for you to learn other languages afterwards... and i dont think C++ is especialy easy either. If you just want to learn a language and the ideas and methology behind programing learn something like pascal.

Re: I need help from hackers
yeah i agree or better yet start with markup like html. its not exactly what programing is but you will get used to manipulating commands in a logical sense that way you wont be so lost when you start to program.

Re: I need help from hackers
Learnign programming helps you hack in many ways, one example is this: I find a security hole that causes a system to crash when i send a certain ammount of packets to a certain port on a system in a certain amount of time with a certain delay in the packets. I can either go look for a program that does all this, or i can code one by myself in a 20 minutes. Such a prograam that does a specific task like this wont take too long to code, but it will take a long time to find.
If you wish to learn to hack, it is best to lurk the forums of hacker sites and read. When you dont understand something that is being said, ask questions on it and people will gladly answer you. Just dont go around telling everyone to spoon feed you answers and teach you how to hack, and you should be fine.
