Re: Runtime error
You are running out of RAM and your computer is using virtual memory, that is what that horrible grinding sound is, your harddrive working overtime. As for runtime errors, that just a fundemental error, nothing special. It means that the computer is having trouble processing a request. I suggest you format and reinstall windows, that usually clears it up. Else run a thorough scandisk.

Re: Runtime error
usually theres a name of a package missing, as it has nothing to do with your memory. A runtime error happens for example when theres an operation of variables with different types or theres no callback from a loop.
Your first thought should be that it could be a virus, then check the package.

Re: Runtime error
Ideas: Reinstall the program thats giving you trouble. Allow windows to use more virtual memory Get more memory. if all else fails try a backup (you have been keeping them right?) or a reinstall. Just ignore Zok, he jumps on the formatting bandwagon way too soon. "Configuration problem? Time to reinstall windows!" haha, im just kiddin Z

Re: Runtime error
Don't kid me. But I am correct as far as virtual memory goes, bsk. If you have low amounts of RAM, your computer is forced into virtual memory, which as we all know is rather slow. This can be solved by getting more RAM>

Re: Runtime error
scenario A (Its a virus): More RAM wont change anything.
scenario B (Missing package): More RAM will just increase the time until the errors occur.
scenario C (Damaged source code): More RAM wont change anything.
sceanrio D (RE because of virtual memory): Look at scenario B.

Re: Runtime error
I'm using no programs when i happens except windows,IE and rnaapp. Can i re-install windows and keep the rest of my c:/ files at the same time?
I feel re-installing is the only option now.
