I am nearing the time when I have to apply for college, and I would like to study Computer science. Are there any colleges that are exceptinaly good for this course?

My recommendation is to go as cheap as possible (or if that is not an issue, go for something that fits your schedule the best or allows you to graduate the quickest). In my experience, anything you would have gained from going to that "better" school is something you can make up for on your own. Unless you have a full-ride scholarship to Carnegie Mellon or MIT, I wouldn't waste the time, money, or effor on anything more than the local city or state university... in the end you will just get a piece of paper that will be the same as anyone else with the same degree.

i just made my own diploma from MIT in photoshop... it was easy.. now im making more than most anti-trust lawyers... and all i do is delegate all my tasks to my underlings... YaY...

yeah but if you can even get in then you belong there. Seriously, just apply, its a really easy essay. Your GPA isn't so important as that you're taking really hard classes, passing them, and doing well on standardized tests. Its one of the few schools that looks very closely at AP scores. If you get in, stay over on a Saturday night and I can guarantee you'll have an awesome time with a bunch of brilliant people.
